FORUM CALLS FOR MASSIVE PROTEST DEMONSTRATION ON 12TH AUGUST,AIBDPA TO JOIN.

The Forum of BSNL Unions/ Associations has given a clarion call for conducting massive demonstrations against the arbitrary report of M/S Deloitte Consultants on financial viability of BSNL. The report, a portion of which is available, contains drastic and damaging recommendations, including CRS of 70000 employees and reduction of 330+ SSAs to 167 Areas, Closure of Telecom Factories etc.

A meeting of the Forum held on 4th August has decided to oppose the report tooth and nail and to start with, the Forum has called upon all the employees to organize massive demonstration on 12-08-2014.

AIBDPA views the developments with serious concern and calls upon all its units to participate in the programme enmasse.

INSURANCE BILL NOT INTRODUSED TODAY.

The central government did not present the Insurance Laws (Amendment) Bill ,hiking the FDI to 49%, in the Rajyasabha on today, the 4th August as they could not muster the necessary support from other parties. The NDA being  minority in the Rajyasabha, unless and until some other parties in the opposition support, they cannot get it through. The Congress Party, which is the main opposition party is reported to be for referring the bill to the select committee. This is not because that Congress is opposed to the bill, but a bargain for the Leader of Opposition post, as they were trying to pass the bill for the last four years while in power.

However, AIBDPA decision to conduct solidarity demonstration on the day of STRIKE by the insurance employees, stands.

SOLIDARITY DEMONSTRATION IN SUPPORT OF INSURANCE STRIKE.

All India Insurance Employees Association has decided to strike work against the move of the Central Government to raise the cap of FDI in insurance from the current 26% to 49%,  only to appease the imperialist forces. The public sector insurance companies, both Life Insurance and General Insurance are performing well and contributing much to the development of the country. As such there is absolutely no need to increase the FDI limit in insurance. But Narendra Modi government is all set to introduce the Insurance Laws (Amendment) bill in the Parliament,

CHQ calls upon all the AIBDPA units to conduct solidarity demonstration on the day of the strike of the insurance employees.
