KHARAGPUR AND SURI DISTRICT CONVENTIONS.

As per the decision of the Coimbatore CEC, some more conventions are held in West Bengal.

KHARAGPUR: Com. Susanta Ghosh, Circle Secretary inaugurated the huge District Convention on 22-09-2014. He gave a detailed speech narrating the 29 demands identified by the Coimbatore Central Executive Committee meeting and emphasized the importance of the Sanchar Bhawan March on November 20, 2014. Com. S. P. Dhabal, District President was in the chair. Com. Anupam Saha, District Secretary, Com. P. R. Das, Vice President and Com. Pankaj Jana, District Secretary, BSNLEU were the other speakers.

SURI: The presidium consisting Com. Debdas Chakraborty, District President and Com. Ashis Mukharjee, Vice President controlled the proceedings of Suri District Convention held successfully on 28-09-2014. Inaugurating the convention, Com. Susanta Ghosh, Circle Secretary spoke elaborately on the demands raised for the Sanchar Bhawan March and appealed to make it a resounding success. Com. Pijush Chakraborty, Asst Circle Secretary, Com. Madan Ghosh, District Secretary and Com. Tarapada Patra, District Secretary, CGPA also spoke on the occasion.

SEMINAR AT SILIGURI,WEST BENGAL

A well participated Seminar was held at GMT office, Siliguri on 25th September, 2014. Com.Bipul Chakraborty  District Presidet presided . Com. R. K. Yadav, District Secretary and Asst Circle Secretary presented the 29 demands in detail and appealed to make the Sanchar Bhawan March on 20th November a grand success. North Bengal District Branch of CORTO was represented and both President Com.S. L. Nandi and Secretary Com.K. N. Karji also addressed the seminar.

After the Seminar a memorandum containing some of the issues of the pensioners was submitted to the GMT by a delegation of leaders.

 

PRAKASAM DISTRICT CONFERENCE.

Prakasam District Conference in Andhra Circle was successfully held on 30th September,2014. Com.V.Sambasiva Rao, Circle President, Com. Ramachandradu, Circle Secretary, Com.K.S.C.Bose, Assistant Circle Secretary addressed the conference. The leaders explained in detail the demands on which Sanchar Bhawan March is being held on 20th November.

The following are the important office beares elected unanmosly. Honorary President: Com. D. Lakshminarayana. DE Retd. President: Com.G. Vekateswarlu, JTO Retd, District Secretary: Com. Shaik Azeez and Treasurer: Com. K.Subbaiah.

BANK UNIONS PLAN ANOTHER NATIONAL STRIKE.

United Forum of Bank Unions has decided for another national strike.This follows breakdown of another round of negotiations with the Indian Banks Association. The bank unions were demanding 25% wage hike,but, the bank management is adament of 11% hike only.

As part of this agitation,bank employees will wear black badges on October 10 and country-wide demonstrations will be held on October 17. A one day Dharna will also be conducted at all state capitals between October 18 and 31.This would be followed by one day national Protest Strike,date of wcich will be decided later.

2 HRS WALK OUT-A SPECTACULAR SUCCESS.

The 2hrs walk out from1100 to 1300hrs on 30th September,2014 called by the BSNL non exective unions is a resounding success all over the country. This was nececiated due to the negative response of the BSNL management towards the geuine 30 demands.AIBDPA fully supported the agitation and its members actively participted in the demonstrations held every where by the striking BSNL employees.

THE JOINT ACTION COMMITTEE OF BSNL NON EXECUTIVE UNIONS ARE COMPELLED TO RESORT TO THE 2HRS WALK OUT ON 30TH SEPTEMBER,2014,AS THE BSNL MANAGEMENT CONTINUES  WITH ITS NEGATIVE STAND TOWARDS THE 30 GENUINE DEMANDS, INCLUDING 78.2% IDA MERGER TO BSNL PENSIONERS. CHQ CALLS UPON ALL ITS UNITS TO EXTEND FULL SUPPORT TO THIS STRUGGLE.
