JALGAON DISTRICT CONFERENCE

The Jalgaon District, in Maharashtra has successfully held its biennial District Conference on 10-10-2014. Com. B. P. Petkar, Circle Secretary delivered the inaugural address, explaining the 29 demands and the decision of Coimbatore CEC to conduct the Sanchar Bhawan March on 20-11-2014.

Office bearers were elected unanimously with Com. A. S. Choudhary, Retd SDE (President), Com. R. N. Patil, Retd Sr TOA (District Secretary) and Com. b. s, Badgujar, Retd TM (Treasurer)

ERODE DISTRICT COFERENCE HELD ENTHUSIASTICALLY.

One of the best District Branches in Tamil Nadu, ERODE held its biennial District Conference in a very enthusiastic atmosphere on 10-10-2014. Com. K.Karunanidhi, District President controlled the proceedings. Com. S. Ayyasamy, District Secretary welcomed the partcipants including Com. D. Varadharajan, Retired CGMT, Tamil Nadu. Com. C. K. Narasimhan, Circle Secretary inaugurated the conference, explaining in details,the issues of the pensioners and the importance of the Sanchar Bhawan March on 20-11-2014. Thiru. K. S. Venkatasubramonian, General Manager, BSNL,  Erode felicitated the conference and assured all cooperation in solving the pensioners issues. Com. Guru Chandrasekharan, State Secretary, Tamil Nadu State Government Pensioners Association made a special address.

Com. S. Mohandoss, CHQ Vice President as well as Circle President, inaugurated the delegates session, thoroughly exposing the pro corporate policies of the BJP led NDA government.

PALANPUR DISTRICT BRANCH IN GUJARAT FORMED.

Palanpur District Branch has been formed in the meeting of BSNL DOT pensioners held on 10-10-2014. Com. M. B. Chaniyara, Circle Secretary inaugurated the meeting. Com. A.Y. Ghori and Com. M. S. Korot, District Secretary and District President, respectively, of BSNLEU addressed the meeting. Office bearers have been elected unanimously with Com. N. M. Parmar (President), Com. J. K. Rami (District Secretary) and Com. V. M. Darji (Treasurer)

SUPPORT THE CMD OFFICE MARCH OF BSNLCCWF ON 15-10-2014.

The 3rd phase of the agitational program of BSNL Casual Contract Workers Federation for the settlement of their genuine demands is being held on 15th October,2014. Hundreds of casual and contract workers from all parts of the country will March to the Corporate Office of BSNL, the Bharat Sanchar Bhawan raising their anger and resentment against the lethargic attitude of the BSNL management.

CHQ calls upon all its units to extend full support by cooperating by all means to make the CMD Office March a grand success. 

GUJARAT CIRCLE SURGES AHEAD- DISTRICT BRANCH FORMED IN MAHESANA.

AIBDPA district branch has been formed in Mahesana in a well attended meeting of pensioners on 9th October,2014. Com. M. B. Chaniyara, Circle Secretary inaugurated the meeting and Com. T. V. Ghelani, Circle President addressed.. Office bearers were elected unanimously with Com.J. B. Chauhan (President) Com. L. M. Prajapati (District Secretary) and Com. G.B.Darji (Treasurer).

JAC DECIDES ONE DAY STRIKE ON 27TH NOVEMBER, 2014

The JAC of Non Executive BSNL Unions has decided to conduct a one day STRIKE on 27 th November, 2014. The meeting of the JAC held at New Delhi on 7th October, after reviewing the 3 phased programme, viz, Demands Day on 07-08-2014, Dharna on 23-09-2014 and 2 hrs Walk Out on 30-09-2014, felt that more strong agitation is warranted due to the negative and adamant approach of the BSNL management towards the 30 demands.

AIBDPA fully supports the decision and calls upon all its units to extend full solidarity to make the Strike a big success.

KERALA CIRCLE CONFERENCE- A RESOUNDING SUCCESS.

The two days Kerala Circle Conference held at Com.G.Soman Nagar (RTTC), Thiruvananthapuram on 7th & 8th October, 2014 instilled great inspiration to all the participants. The conference kick started with flag hoisting by Com. P. V. Chandrasekharan, Circle President and offering tribute to the martyrs.

The open session was inaugurated by Com. T. M. Thomas Isac, MLA and former Finance Minister who criticized strongly both the UPA and NDA  for scuttling the defined benefit pension scheme and exposed the game plan of the government in weakening BSNL for the sake of the private telecom companies. Com. P. V. Chandrasekharan, Circle President was in chair. Advt.K.Chandrika, worshipful Mayor, Thiruvananthapuram and Chair-person, Reception Committee welcomed the gathering Com. V. A. N. Namboodiri, Advisor and President, BSNLEU delivered the key note address. He gave a good account of the recent developments with regard to the pensioners issues, memorandum submitted to the 7th Pay Commission and the preliminary discussion had with the Pay Commission, Coimbatore CEC decisions and the Sanchar Bhawan March on 20th November, 2014. Com. M. Krishnan, Secretary General, Confederation, Com. A Sreekumar, General Secretary, FSETO, Com. C. C. Pillai, Patron, AIPRPA, Com. George Varghese, Circle Secretary, SNEA, Com. M. Syamkumar, Circle President, AIBSNLEA, K. Mohanan, Circle Secretary, BSNLEU, Com. M. C. Nair, State Vice President, CGPA, Com. K. G. Jayaraj, General Secretary and Com. V. Kesavan, Circle Patron addressed the open session. Com. N. Vikraman Nair, General Convenor, Reception Committee proposed vote of thanks.

The delegates session was started at 9AM on 8th October with Com. P. V. Chandrasekharan, President and Vice Presidents in the presidium. Inaugurating the delegates session, Com. K. G. Jayaraj, General Secretary explained all the issues and appealed to make the Sanchar Bhawan March a great success. Com. N. Ramesan, Circle Secretary presented the biennial report and Com. K. J. Sanalkumar placed the audited accounts. In the discussion that followed 27 comrades,representing the 10 district branches participated and gave valuable suggestions.Intervening in the discussion, Com. V. A. N. Namboodiri clarified certain points raised by the delegates. Com. R. Muraleedharan Nair, AGS, BSNLEU and Com. Padmanabhan Nair, General Secretary, BSNL Security Staff Association offered greetings. Com. M. P. Kunjanandan, CHQ Treasurer addressed briefly. Com.N. Ramesan, Circle Secretary and Com. K.J. Sanal Kumar,Treasurer replied to the discussion after which both report and accounts were adopted. Resolutions on important issues, presented by Com. K. Damodaran, Convenor, Resolution Committee were adopted.

Com.R. Aravindakshan Nair ,the newly elected President assured the conference that he will put all out efforts to strengthen the organization further with the co-operation of the veteran leaders in the Circle Executive Committee.. The conference came to an end with vote of thanks by Com. N. Guruprasad, Circle Secretary.  Though there was some restriction in the number of delegates due to the limitations for accommodation etc, 448 delegates participated. The discipline maintained by the delegates through out the conference was really praiseworthy and the Reception Committee took extra care to make excellent arrangements for the spectacular success of the conference.

TRIVANDRUM ALL SET TO HOST THE KERALA CIRCLE CONFERENCE.

The Reception Committee  with the Worshipful Mayor, Advt. K. Chandrika, Com. R. Muraleedharan Nair, Working Chairman (AGS, BSNLEU) and Com. Vikraman Nair, General Convenor, is functioning in full swing to make the 3rd biennia Circle Conference of Kerala memorable. The Conference will start with the Open Session at 3PM on 7th October, 2014 which will be inaugurated by Com. T. M. Thomas Isac, MLA  and former State Finance Minister. Com. P. V. Chandrasekharan, Circle President will preside and Com. V. A. N. Namboodiri, President, BSNLEU & Advisor, AIBDPA will deliver the key note address. Leaders of various service  and pensioners organisations will address. The Delegates Session  will be inaugurated by Com. K. G. Jayaraj, General Secretary at 9AM on 08-10-2014. The Venue of the conference is  Regional Telecom Training Centre (RTTC), Thiruvananthapuram.
