5th Triennial AIC- It was simply unprecedented, fantastic and historic.

The Historic 5th Triennial AIC of AIBDPA at Coimbatore.

It was simply magnificient. With more than 3000 Delegates and Visitors from all over India assembled at the Lotus Mahal Auditorium, Coimbatore, named after Comrades S C Bhattacharjee and G G Patil, the 5th Triennial All India Conference held on 17-18 December 2025 created history both in participation as also in taking crucial important decisions.

The Central Executive Committee held on 16.12.2025 presided by Com. M. R. Das, all India President, adopted the report on activities presented by Com. K G Jayaraj, General Secretary and audited accounts by Com. M G S Kurup, Treasurer. It also took necessary decisions for conducting the AIC effectively.

The National Flag at the conference venue was hoisted at 0930 on 17th by Comrade V A N Namboodiri, Advisor AIBDPA. The National Flag, AIBDPA Flag and the Secular Jyothi were brought in a big procession with hundreds of volunteers was received at the Conference ground. AIBDPA flag was hoisted by Com. K. G. Jayaraj, the beloved General Secretary amidst thundering shouting of slogans.

Before start of the conference, the National Pensioners Day was observed by organising a big Protest Rally focusing rescind the Validation clause in Finance act,2025, Amend suitably the retrograde Terms of Reference of 8th Pay Commission and repeal of anti-worker Labour codes. Com. S. Mohandoss, All India Vice President spoke about the importance of National Pensioners Day, 17th December, and also about the need for fighting against the attacks against pensioners by the Central government. All comrades paid floral tributes to the Martyrs at the Martyrs column.

The Conference started at about 10.30 hours in the spacious hall of Lotus Mahal. The stage was beautifullly decorated as also the Hall as well as outside the premises. Pictures of leaders of P& T trade union movement were displayed prominently. The hall and the veranda could not fully accommodate the more than 3000 delegates / visitors and special arrangements were made for them.

OPEN SESSION -The proceedings started with a welcome song. Com. V. A. N. Namboodiri, Advisor, presided. Com. T. K.Rangarajan, Chairman, Reception Committee, former Vice President and ex- M. P. welcomed all in his brief speech. Com. K. G. Jayaraj, GS, AIBDPA gave the Introductory Speech. All the leaders on the dais were felicitated. Com. K. V. Balakrishnan, Area Secretary, AIBDPA, Vatakara and also a good artist, Com. O. P. Savithri, Senior member (83), who won many medals in sports were also felicitated.

Com. N. Ram, Director, The Hindu & its former Editor- in- Chief inaugurated the AIC with a very educative speech. Messages received from Smt. Vandana Gupta, CGCA, DOT and Com. A. K. Bhattacharjee, Patron, were read out.

The Special address and Greegtings to the Conference from Comrade Pambis Kyritsis , General Secretary, World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU) and Comrade Quim Boix, General Secretary, Trade Union International ( Pensioners & Retirees ) showed on a very big screen enthralled the audience, which was also a recognition of AIBDPA at international level. It is worth mentioning here that Com. K. G. Jayaraj is Vice-Secretary of TUI (P&R) and attended the recent ILO Conference at Geneva.

A galaxy of leaders representing various organisations, Comrades K. Ragavendran, SG NCCPA & Convener, FCPA, Animesh Mitra, GS BSNLEU & SG BSNLCCWF, M. Vijaya Kumar, President BSNLEU, D. K. Debnath, GS, AIPRPA, G. L. Jogi, GS, SNPWA and R. Elangovan, President, DRPU addressed the session. Com. R. Rajasekar, General Secretary, Reception Committee & Circle Secretary, Tamil Nadu circle proposed vote of thanks.

Delegates Session

The Delegates Session started in the afternoon of 17th and continued till evening of 18th December. Com. M. R. Das, President AIBDPA presided. Com. R. Muralidharan Nair, AGS AIBDPA moved Condolence Resolution. Com. Sanjib Banerjee, AGS, presented proposals for Sub- committees and Com. K. Govindaraj, AGS AIBDPA welcomed everybody.

A book on the history of AIBDPA ‘ A Saga of Struggles & Achievements’ penned jointly by Comrades V A N and K. G. Jayaraj was released by Com. M. R. Das, President by handing over the same to Com. R. Raj Sekar, GS of Reception Committee.

Com. K. G. Jayaraj, GS and M G S Kurup, Treasurer, AIBDPA presented the Triennial Report and Audited Accounts respectively. In the discussion on the Report and Audited Accounts 56 comrades from all states participated and gave valuable suggestions. Both were passed unanimously after reply from General Secretary. Certain amendments to the Constitution of the Association, including increase of office bearers, taking into consideration the growth of the Association, presented by Com. P. Asokababu, Vice President , were adopted unanimously.

Important Resolutions on the Demands etc also were presented and adopted. The Credential Report was presented by Com. M G S Kurup, Treasurer. 39 Office bearers with Comrades V. A. N. Namboodiri (Advisor), A. K. Bhattacharjee, K G Jayaraj (Patrons), M. R. Das (President ) R. Muralidharan Nair ( Genneral Secretary )and M G S Krup ( Treasurer ) were elected unanimously.

It was a poignant moment when the house heard Com. K. G. Jayaraj, who was the General Secretary of the Association since its formation till now for 17 years and led it with courage, commitment and dedication and organised many struggles and ensured many important achievements for the pensioners. Of course, he will continue to guide the movement as its respected Patron. Com. V A N spoke greeting the new office bearers and thanking the outgoing office bearers. Com. R. Muralidharan Nair, newly elected General Secretary, thanked for his election as GS and declared on befalf of the newly elected team that they will continue to take up the issues of pensioners and will tread the path shown by the earlier veteran leaders for the welfare of the society as a whole.

The house in one voice thanked the Reception Committee headed by Comrades T. K. Rengarajan as Chairman and R. Rajasekar as General Secretary for the excellent arrangements including accommodation, food, reception etc.made for holding the AIC in a very systematic and comfortable manner. It was the tremendous, tireless and dedicated all-round efforts made by hundreds of comrades of Tamil Nadu Circle, especially that of Coimbatore, that this was made possible. From receving at the Airport, Railway Station etc and till seeing them off, the team of Reception Committee was there to ensure maximum comfort to all. The historic AIC concluded at about 17.00 hours on 18th December 2025 with shouting of slogans.

As per the credential report, 964 delegates have participated in the two days Conference.

The call of the historic All india Conference to resist and defeat the anti – worker, anti – pensioner, anti – people policies & decisions of the Central government, for immediate settlement of Pension Revision due from 01.01.2017 and other major demands, strengthening of the AIBDPA, NCCPA, FCPA, Coordination Committee of AIBDPA – BSNLEU- BSNLCCWF, Joint Forum of BSNL MTNL Pensioners Associations and other united movements will have to be achieved with the participatoion and united efforts of the entire movement. That is the most important task in the Forward March of AIBDPA

The Reception Committee for the 5th Triennial AIC being held at Coimbatore on 17th & 18th December, 2025 is making all out efforts to make the AIC historic and a milestone in the glorious history of the mighty organization, AIBDPA. Arrangements for the venue and comfortable accommodation for the delegates have been completed.

The 51st death anniversary of the legendary leader Com.K G Bose on 11-12-2025 was observed as the Flag Day of the Conference. 5 Flags each were hoisted in all the branches in Tamil Nadu. In Coimbatore, Com.R Rajasekar, Circle Secretary, Tamil Nadu and General Secretary, Reception Committee garlanded the photo of Com. K G Bose and hoisted 5 AIBDPA flags.

Remembering Com. K. G. Bose ( 07.07.1921- 11.12.1974 )- V A N Namboodiri

All India Postal Employees Union, Group-C, Odisha Circle: Tribute to ...

11.12.2025 is the 51st death anniversary of Com. K. G. Bose, the militant leader of C G employees and particularly of P & T employees. He was very active in the union ever since his entry in to DET office Calcutta in 1942.

He along with Com. Dada Ghosh led the 1946 historical All India P & T strike in Bengal, 5 days strike of CG Employees in 1960 and also one day strike of 19 September 1968 along with other leaders.

He was Circle Secretary of Telecom Union Class III (NFPTE), W. Bengal for many years. Was elected as President of NFPTE in 1970. Com. K. G. Bose gave a progressive outlook to the P&T movement. His speeches and writes up inspired a whole generation of workers like me. It was an honour for me to be in close touch with him since 1966 at the Trivandrum AIC.

He was a Member of the Pay Commission for W. Bengal State employees. Com K. G. Bose passed away on 11.12.1974 in U. K. while undergoing treatment for the dreaded cancer. His brother, Com. Moni Bose, also a P &T Union leader, passed away in 2010.Memory of Com. K. G. will inspire us in our struggle against the new attacks against workers and pensioners by the Modi Government. COM.ASHOK PAREEK, CIRCLE SECRETARY, BSNLEU, RAJASTHAN PASSES AWAY.

CHQ is saddened to report the untimely demise of Com. Ashok Pareek, Circle Secretary, BSNLEU, Rajasthan on 9th December, 2025. He was under treatment for liver ailments for some time and the end came in the morning on 09-12-2025. Com. Ashok Pareek was a gentleman trade unionist and was liked and respected by all. He has also helped in strengthening AIBDPA in Rajasthan. AIBDPA pays respectful homages to the departed leader and conveys heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and colleagues.

The 7th District Conference of Karwar was held on 27-11-2025. Com. C E Gunagi, District President controlled the proceedings. Com.C R Kalmane, District Secretary welcomed and presented the report. Com. N D Patil, Treasurer placed the accounts. Shri. Raviraj Chandrahas Ankolekar, President, CMC inaugurated the conference. Coms. L D Durgad, Circle President, Muddaiah, Circle Secretary, H C Prakash, AGS, Earanna, CHQ Organising Secretary and K Chandrasekharan, ACS addressed and explained the issues. Office bearers were elected with Com. C R Kalmane (President) Com. C E Gunagi (District Secretary) Com. N D Patil (Treasurer).

Salem Special Seminar .

The third Special Seminar—covering the districts of Coonoor, Coimbatore, Erode, Salem, Dharmapuri and Vellore—was held with great enthusiasm on 21.11.2025 at YMCA Hall, Salem, under the banner of the Tamil Nadu Circle, which is hosting the 5th All India Conference of AIBDPA. The event was efficiently organized by the Coordination Committee of BSNLEU – AIBDPA – TNTCW. An impressive 350 comrades from the six districts attended . The strong presence of comrades from BSNLEU, TNTCWU, various fraternal unions, and notably, a significant number of women comrades, added great strength and vibrancy to the seminar. The proceedings were jointly presided over by the District Presidents of all six districts. Comrade R. Gopalan, Circle Assistant Secretary, coordinated the event, and Comrade Tamilmani, Salem District Secretary, delivered the welcome address.

The seminar was formally inaugurated by Comrade R. Rajasekar, Circle Secretary, AIBDPA.A powerful and thought-provoking address was delivered by Comrade R. Badri, General Manager of Bharathi Bookstore, on the topic “Let’s Protect the Constitution and Secularism”. His speech shed light on the alarming national situation and the urgent need for collective vigilance. Comrade R. Muralitharan Nair, All India Assistant General Secretary of AIBDPA, presented an in-depth analysis of the challenges confronting pensioners today, speaking on the topic “Pension Changes and Validation of Pension Rules Amendment Act”. His address was highly informative and well-received. Representatives from BSNLEU, TNTCWU, NCCPA, AIPRPA, and AIBSNLPWA also participated and enriched the discussion with their valuable interventions. The event concluded with vote of thanks by Comrade E. Gopal, Circle Assistant Secretary.

Other three seminars were held at Trichy, Puducherry and Madurai.
