Delhi Chalo ! Participate in Maha Padav ! VENUE IS PARLIAMENT STREET, NEW DELHI.

 

Lakhs of workers from all parts of the country will be flooding Delhi streets, participating in the Maha Padav (Maha Dharna) called for by the Central Trade Unions, Federations of Central and State government employees, PSUs etc. etc. The dharna is being organised in protest against the anti-worker policies of the government and also demanding settlement of the Charter of Demands which has been served to the government.

The pensioners are to participate on 10th November and AIBDPA has called the Delhi and nearby circles to participate maximum comrades in the Dharna.

Participate in large numbers! The Maha Padav will be a warning to the government.

Com. C.K.Gundanna honoured with prestigious ‘Rajyotsava Award’ – Congratulations!

Comrade C.K.Gundanna, Veteran leader and long time Circle Secretary BSNLEU Karnataka Circle, has been  awarded the prestigious ‘Rajyotsava Award’ by  the Karnataka Government. The same was handed over to Com. Gundanna by  Chief Minister Shri Sidharamayya on 1st November 2017. It is the highest award by the state government and is awarded for social justice to the society  and Theatre Art. Com. Gundanna was the Secretary of  ‘Samudaya’, the well known cultural society  for a long time. Now he is also acting in some cinemas. It is to be mentioned here that he was attacked a few years back by the Hindu extremists when a progressive street drama was being enacted. Family of Com. Gundanna and many comrades from BSNL participated in the award giving function.

Hearty Congratulations to Com. C.K.Gundanna for  his  his great contribution to the society and the prestigious award!

AIBDPA is greatly pleased to know that com.C.K.Gundanna, circle secretary, BSNLEU, Karnataka, is awarded with the ” Rajyotsava Award”, by the government of Karnataka. Apart from being in the fore-front of the trade union movement, com.C.K.Gundanna has also been a stage artiste for long, taking progressive ideas to the mass of the people. The government of Karnataka has conferred this award to com.C.K.Gundanna, in recognition of his contributions to the society, as a stage artiste. CHQ heartily congratulates com.C.K.Gundanna.

DECISIONS OF AVAILABLE CENTRAL EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING.

 

The CHQ office bearers and circle secretaries attended the Dharna on 25-10-2017 met briefly at the venue of the Dharna  and reviewed the developments taken place in the recent past in respect of wage revision and pension revision. The available CEC after discussion felt that further struggle is warranted for achieving the pension revision and then took the following decisions.

  1. On the issues of Pension Revision from 01-01-2017, Rs.2000 Fixed Medical Allowance and Immediate settlement of pension revision on Option 3 to DOT retirees, the following agitational programs to be implemented at all levels.
  • Call Attension Day on 20-11-2017- Demonstration at all levels and FAX/Email to Minister for Communications and Secretary, DoT by all units.

Immediate intervention sought to

 (1)Revise the pension of all BSNL retirees with 15% fitment on IDA pattern with effect from 01-01-2017 as affordability condition is not applicable for pensioners.

 (2) Grant a uniform Fixed Medical Allowance of Rs.2000 to BSNL retirees as in the case of EPF pensioners.

(3) Immediate pension revision of DoT retirees on Option 3 as per order dated 12-05-2017 as the process is not even started in most of the circles even after 5 months of issue of orders.

(ii) MASS DHARNA at SSA level on 11-12-2017

Effective campaign should be made among the pensioners on the demands and the copy of letter given to the Secretary, DoT on pension revision is also enclosed with this circular for this purpose.

2.All AIBDPA units should mobilize maximum pensioners for the Human Chain on 16-11-2017 being organized as the 2nd phase of agitation of All Unions and Associations of BSNL and should extend all the co-opearion and help to make the two days STRIKE on 12th & 13th December, 2017 a historic success.

3.Authorised Com.D.Basu( Mobile-09433591382 ) as the Acting General Secretary in the absence of Com.K.G.Jayaraj, General Secretary who is granted 6 months leave from November, 2017 to April, 2018. Com. K.G.jayaraj along with his wife,T.G.Syamala have to join their daughter & family in USA for her delivery.

The CEC expressed satisfaction on the impressive participation of AIBDPA comrades in the NCCPA Dharna.

Com.R.G.Bhandare, Circle President, Karnataka made a personal donation of Rs.5000 to CHQ which was received by the General Secretary.
