CENTENARY CELEBRATION OF THE GREAT OCTOBER REVOLUTION BY WEST BENGAL CIRCLE.

The Centenary of the Great October/November Revolution has been celebrated in a befitting manner by the West Bengal Circle Branch at Kolkata on 07-11-2017. Com.Susanta Ghosh, CHQ Vice President and Circle President controlled the proceedings. Com.Pijush Chakraborty in his initial address highlighted the importance and relevance of the Great Revolution. Com.  Pranab Chattopadhyay , delivering the Key note address explained vividly the various spheres of the Great Revolution and its impact on many countries in the world. The cultural program by   Raktakarabi Ballet troupe was enjoyed by the participants who had thronged in good numbers.

West Bengal Circle had organised District level celebrations also to commemorate the Great October revolution.  CHQ heartily congratulates West Bengal Circle.

 

KRISHNA (VIJAYAWADA ) DISTRICT CONFERENCE HELD BEFITTINGLY.

The  Krishna district conference of AIBDPA has been held at Makineni Basavapunnaiah Vignana Kendram, Vijayawada on 11/11/2017 under the presidentship of District President Com.R.Madhava Rao. Nearly 400 members attended the conference.The Secretary report submitted by Com.B.Ramulu and accounts submitted by Com.B.Mohan Rao were approved by the conference after discussion.Com. V.Sambasiva Rao in his inaugural speech explained about the various problems being faced by the pensioners.CITU city Secretary Com.M.V.Sudhakar, addressed the members and explained the situation prevailing in the country and exhorted the members to be vigilant and to be part of the main working class movement. Circle Secretary AIBDPA AP Com.KSCBose explained to the house about the agitational programme of AIBDPA on 20/11/2017 and Mass Dharna on 11/12/2017 for Pension revision in BSNL, Fixed medical allowance of Rs.2000/month and pension revision to DOT pensioners. Com T.Vallaiah BSNLEU congratulated the district executive and assured all co-operation. Sri P.Murali Krishna,Secretary MB Vignana Kendram greeted the conference and requested the members to co-operate in the activities of Vignana Kendram and assured all co-operation from their side.

AIBDPA Comrades participated in the Maha Dharna at Delhi

A large number of AIBDPA comrades from Delhi and the nearby states participated in the Maha Dharna at the Parliament Street on 10th November 2017, supporting the 12 demands raised by the 10 Central trade Unions. This was as per the call of the AIBDPA CHQ. They came from NTR Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, UP (E), U>P(West), Rajasthan etc. Some comrades from Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra also participated enthusiastically.  The BSNL pensioners have always stood with the fighting BSNL and other workers for their fully justified demands. It was only a few days back that hundreds of BSNL DOT Pensioners participated in the Dharna organised by NCCPA in front of Megh Doot Bhawan, New Delhi on 25-10-2017.

THE THREE DAYS MAHAPADAV STARTED WITH MASSIVE PARTICIPATION OF WORKERS.

WORKERS CAPTURE NEW DELHI

The thousands of workers who stormed the national capital and assembled at Parliament Street in the national capital Delhi, to participate in the first day of the three days ‘mahapadav’ on 9th November 2017 enthusiastically endorsed the call of the speakers to intensify the struggle against the anti worker, anti people and anti national policies of the BJP led government and prepare for a countrywide indefinite general strike if the government fails to concede their demands.

Workers from all over the country representing many sector – public and private, permanent employees and contract, casual workers, state and central government employees, banks, insurance, telecom, railways, defence, and the various schemes of the government of India participated in the ‘mahapadav’ on the first day. 

Ashok Singh (INTUC), Gurudas Dasgupta (AITUC), HS Sidhu (HMS), Tapan Sen (CITU), Satyawan (AIUTUC), G Devarajan (TUCC), Manali (SEWA), Rajiv Dimri (AICCTU), M Shanmugam (LPF) and Ashok Ghosh (UTUC) addressed the gathering in the first session presided over by Sanjay Singh (INTUC), Ramendra Kumar (AITUC), Raja Sridhar (HMS), Hemalata (CITU), RK Sharma (AIUTUC), Naren Chatterjee (TUCC), Sonia (SEWA), Santosh Rai (AICCTU), Subbaraman (LPF) and Shatrujit Singh (UTUC).

Leaders of the federations spoke in the second part of the first session. It was most significant that the leaders of the two major national federations of the railway employees – Shiv Gopal Mishra, general secretary of All India Railwaysmen’s Federation and Raghavaiagh, general secretary of National Federation of Indian Railwaymen – have announced that they would join the indefinite strike whenever the joint trade union platform gave the call. Leaders of several other all Industrial federations including Venkatachalam, general secretary of All India Bank Employees’ Association, Subhash Lamba, additional general secretary of All India State Government Employees’ Association and secretary of Electricity Employees’ Federation of India, KK Divakaran, general secretary of All India Road Transport Workers’ Federation, C Sreekumar, general secretary of All India Defence Employees’ Federation, Jagdeesh Sreemali, VS Dahiya, GR Shiv Shankar, Ravi Sen, Peelimuthu, Kalyan Sengupta, also joined them in endorsing the call addressed the huge gathering and announced they would join the indefinite country wide general strike whenever the joint trade union platform took the decision. Thampan Thomas (HMS), Vijay Pal Singh (AIUTUC), Anil Sharma (TUCC), Sonia (SEWA), Mahendra Parida (AICCTU), Natarajan (LPF) and Thomas Joseph (UTUC) also addressed

BSNLEU CENTRAL EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING CONCLUDED.

The two days CEC of BSNLEU held on 7th & 8th November, 2017 has concluded successfully in New Delhi. Com.A.K.Padmanabhan, Vice President, CITU inaugurated the CEC with an inspiring speech. Com.Balbir Singh, President presided. Com.Swapan Chakraborty, Dy General Sercretary welcomed . Com.V.A.N.Namboodiri, founder General Secretary addressed. Effective discussion took place on the report presented by Com.P.Abhimanyu, General Secretary.

Com.C.K.Gundanna, Circle Secretary, Karnataka was honoured in the CEC for winning the Rajyostava Award of Karnataka government.

WFTU Participation in the 100 years celebration activities of the Great October Socialist Revolution in Leningrad and Moscow

The WFTU represented by Vincent Kapenga, Member of the WFTU Presidential Council from PR Congo and Vahidha Nizam, representing the leadership of AITUC India, participates to the events commemorating the 100 years since the Great October Socialist Revolution in Leningrad and in Moscow.
