TAMIL NADU CIRCLE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING HELD SUCCESSFULLY.

Com.S.Mohandoss, CHQ Vice President inaugurated the Tamil Nadu Circle Executive Committee Meeting held on 23-11-2018 at Jeevan Jyothi Hall, Coimbatore. Com.P.Manickamurthy, Circle President controlled the proceedings. Com.V.Venkatraman, District Secretary, Coimbatore welcomed all. Com.C.K.Narasimhan, Circle Secretary presented report of activities for the interim period and Com.S.Natarajan, Treasurer submitted the accounts. All the District Secretaries and Office bearers participated in the discussion.

The CEC decided to support actively the indefinite strike called by AUAB from 03-12-2018 on the five point demands including pension revision from 01-01-2017. The AIC fund decided by the Jalgaon CEC should be sent to the Reception Committee. NCCPA agitational programme to be implemented in Tamil Nadu Circle. The 5th biennial Circle Conference to be held at Coimbatore in March, 2019.

UP (EAST) CIRCLE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING HELD AT FAIZABAD.

A very successful Circle Executive Committee Meeting of UP (East) was held at Press Club Hall, Faizabad on 22-11-2018. Com..B.N.Singh, Circle President was in chair. Com.K.R.Yadav, Circle Secretary welcomed all and presented the report on activities. All the Circle office bearers and District Secretaries actively participated in the discussion that followed after which the report was adopted.

Com.K.G.jayaraj, General Secretary who was to inaugurate the CEC meeting could attend the meeting only in the evening, as his train from Delhi came late by 9 hrs. It was a great gesture on the part of the CEC members who waited for the arrival of General Secretary although they had completed the proceedings. General Secretary in his address explained the current position with respect to wage revision, pension revision, 4G spectrum to BSNL, BSNL MRS and he stressed that the indefinite Strike called by AUAB from 03-12-2018 is very crucial in the settlement of pension revision also. He congratulated the Circle Executive under the able leadership of Com.K.R.Yadav for significant advancement in strengthening AIBDPA in the circle.

 

KARNATAKA CIRCLE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING HELD .

Com.V.A.N.Namboodiri, Advisor inaugurated the Karnataka Circle Executive Committee Meeting held at PGM office Auditorium, Bengaluru on 22-11-2018. He explained the main issues of wage revision ,pension revision, 4G spectrum to BSNL, Medical issues and protection of BSNL and the importance of the struggles of AUAB including the proposed indefinite strike from 03-12-2018. He appealed that as before, the pensioners have to join the struggles and make the strike a resounding success. Com.Tatapati, Vice President controlled the proceedings. Com. Muddaiah, Circle Secretary welcomed and presented the report for the interim period since the last CEC which was adopted after discussion.  Coms.C.K.Gundanna, Circle Secretary, BSNLEU, H.V.Sudharshan, All India Organising Secretary, BSNLEU and G.G.Patil, AGS also addressed the meeting., 

CENTRAL PENSION PAYMENT SYSTEM- DISCUSSION WITH DDG(ACCOUNTS)

Com.K.G.jayaraj, General Secretary had a detailed discussion with Ms.Tiakala Lynda Yaden, DDG(Accts), DoT on 19-11-2018 on the proposed Central Pension Payment System (CPPS). The new system envisages payment of pension and pensionary benefits directly to the bank accounts of the pensioners by the respective CCAs. KYP (Know Your Pensioner) forms are being collected from the pensioners for this purpose. General Secretary pointed out that there are certain concerns among the pensioners as to how far it would be feasible and successful, particularly those drawing pension through post offices. He also brought to the notice of the DDG regarding the shortage of staff at almost all CCA offices.

The DDG replied that it is a centrally processing system utilizing modern technology and there need be no concerns for timely payment of pension. Regarding staff shortage, 300 AAOs are brought on deputation from Postal Department. She also made an appeal that those who draw pension from post offices may be advised to transfer to banks. They propose to implement the system from November,2018 for those retiring in November and for the current pensioners it will be from 01-04-2019.

PENSION REVISION- MEETING WITH DDG(ESTT) DOT.

Com.K.G.Jayaraj, General Secretary has met Shri.S.K.Jain, DDG (Estt), DoT on 19-11-2018 and discussed the issue of pension revision.. General Secretary sought the progress on the issue after the meeting between AUAB leaders and Secretary , DoT on 02-11-2018. The DDG replied that internal finance has been entrusted to prepare the reply to the queries raised by the Department of Pension and Pensioners Welfare on pension revision before wage revision. He also hinted that the mindset of DoT is still that of pension revision along with wage revision. Thus it is very clear that DoT is going back of their earlier stand.

Therefore the indefinite strike called by the AUAB from 03-12-2018 is crucial to the demand of pension revision as that of other important demands of wage revision, 4G specrtum to BSNL and Pension contribution on actual basic pay.

 

KORAPUT (ODISHA) DISTRICT EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING HELD.

 A successful Executive Committee meeting of Koraput District was held on 18-11-2018. Com.Lambodar Nayak, District President presided over the meeting. Com.A.C.Mohanty, Circle President inaugurated the meeting with a detailed speech covering almost all points. Com.A.Dhupal, Circle Patron delivered the keynote address. Coms. S.C.Bhattacharya, Circle President, BSNLEU and Shri.B.R.Panigrahi, GM, BSNL, Koraput greeted the conference. Com.Birabar Bhoi, District Secretary welcomed and presented the report.

VIRUDHUNAGAR DISTRICT CONFERENCE HELD BEFITTINGLY.

The 5th biennial District Conference of Virudhunagar has been held with good participation of pensioners on 17-11-2018. Com.C.K.Narasimhan inaugurated the conference explaining the present position of pension revision, wage revision and the AUAB agitations. Com.S.Mohandoss, CHQ Vice President delivering his keynote address dealt on the grave situation in the country and Tamil Nadu and organisational issues with particular focus on the ensuing AIC at Kolkata. Coms. Krishnakumar, Dist Vice President, BSNLEU, P.Ramar, District Secretary(tuticorin), D.Gopalan , District Secretary,( Tirunelveli), Shri.M.Mariappan, DGM(A) , Shri. Azhvarsamy, DGM(F) etc greeted the conference. Com.A.Murugeasan, District President was in chair.

The biennial report and accounts presented by Com.M.Ayyasamy were adopted after discussion.

In the election held unanimously, new set of office bearers with Com.T.Radhakrishnan (President), Com.M.Ayyasamy (District Secretary) and Com.M.Perumalsamy (Treasurer) have been elected.
