The two day National Strike called by the 10 Central Trade Unions and independent Federations of Central, State governments, PSUs etc demanding settlement of the 12 point charter of demands turned to be total success. Four Unions in BSNL, BSNLEU,NFTE, TEPU and BSNLMS also had given a call for the strike. The two main unions of executives, SNEA and AIBSNLEA also supported the strike. In many circles, the strike was almost total and services were hit. The workers, by joining the strike exhibited their anger and anguish against the Modi government for its anti-worker, anti-poor and undemocratic measures.

As per call of CHQ, AIBDPA units participated in the solidarity programmes at various parts the country jointly and independently.
