Com.V A N Namboodiri and Com.K G Jayaraj, General Secretary visited Sanchar Bhawan on 15-07-2019 to meet the top buerocrats of DoT to ascertain the actual position of pension revision. Firstly they wanted to meet Ms.Arunasundararajan, Secretary, DoT , but she happened to be in a meeting and was asked to wait a little. However, they could not meet her as she was summoned by the Minister.

Then they met Shri. Debatosh Manna, Member(Service) who stated that though he is ready to help, the file has not come to him as it is routed through the Additional Secretary. The representatives thereafter met Ms.Anuradha Mitra, Member (Finance). According to her a policy decision has to be taken by the government to revise the pension before wage revision. The representatives then pointed out that the former Minister of State for Communications had assured the AUAB leaders to delink wage revision for pension revision and a concrete proposal in this regard has to be sent to the Department of Pension and Pensioners Welfare.
