The reports coming in the media  clearly show that the death of 74 children in the Gorakhpur Hpospital in the recent days was nothing but man made. The lack of oxygen was well known to the hospital and they have informed the government about the threat of the private oxygen supply company that they will stop supply oxygen if the huge arrears  are not paid to them. The government did not take any action.  The UP government  is fully responsible for this tragedy. The valuable lives lost can not be brought back. But the culprits can be punished and the families can be financially helped at the least.

It is also heart breaking that the dead bodies are being taken to the respective houses in foot, bikes, autoriksha etc as no ambulances are arranged even after the visit of the Chief Minister and Central Health Minister and the reported close monitoring of the developments by the PMO.
