A well attended district convention was held at Pune on 30-04-2017. Com. Nalwade, Circle Secretary, BSNLEU presided and guided. Com.R.N.Patil, Circle Secretary inaugurated and explained the achievements gained with sustained struggle. Coms.Suryavanshi, Circle President,Skhirsagar, Circle Organising Secretary,  Bhikule, District Secretary and Kale, District Treasurer addressed.

A good number of lady comrades participated and 20 new members were enrolled.

A new branch is formed under DIBRUGARH district in Assam. The meeting for this purpose was held on 24-04_2017 at the conference hall of GMTD, DIBRUGARH. Com.Joy Chanda Gogoi presided.

Assam circle conference has been successful with effective deliberations, active discussions and purposeful decisions. On the second day of the conference 7 more comrades participated in the discussion on organisational issues. Then, Com. S.N.Sarma, Circle Secretary summed up the discussion and the report and accounts were adopted. Com.K.G.Jayaraj, General Secretary spoke on the important issues and the tasks to be taken up. Com.M.R.Das, AGS presented an action plan for widening the membership with target for each district and was approved.

The 4th biennial Circle Conference of Assam Circle has started at Telephone Exchange premises, Bongaigaon on 29-04-2017 in an enthusiastic atmosphere. Com.K.G.Jayaraj, General Secretary hoisted the National Flag and Com.Manabendra Sahara, Circle President the AIBDPA flag. Martyrs were honoured with floral offering.

Open Session at 11 am was presided over by Com.Manabendra Saha. Com.K.G.Jayaraj  inaugurated with an elaborate speech, covering the international & national developments, issues of the Pensioners, struggles & achievements,3rd PRC and pension revision and organisational issues. Coms.Sarbananda Das, President,NCCPA, ASSAM, Bijoy Deka, Circle Secretary, BSNLEU, M.R.Das,AGS, Sadhan Sikdar, Railway Pensioners Association, Sanjb Deb,BEFI, Prasanta Beruah, ACS, BSNLEU addressed. Com.Hareswar Das, Chairman, Reception Committee welcomed all.

In the delegates session held at 3.30pm, Com.S.N.Sarma , Circle Secretary presented the report and audited accounts. 14 comrades participated in the discussion.

Kolkata  Telephones Circle Conference has been held on 27-04-2017 keeping up the great tradition.Com.Prasanta Chatterjee, Chairman, Reception Committee hoisted the National  flag and Com.Supriyo Mitra, Circle President the AIBDPA flag. Floral tributes were offered to the martyrs.

The Delegates session started at 10am was inaugurated by Com.Pranab Chatopadhya, CPI(M) State Committee Member.He thoroughly exposed the anti people policy of the central government and divisive activities of the Sangh parivar in the name of religion.Com.Supriyo Mitra presided.

Com.K.G.Jayaraj, General Secretary delivered the keynote address explaining the issues , achievements and the struggles launched. He exhorted to strengthen the organisation by enrolling more pensioners. Com.Sanjib Banerjee, Circle Secretary presented the report and Com.N.Mohan Das , Treasurer submitted the audited accounts. Comrades from all the three districts participated actively in the discussion. After summing up by the circle Secretary both report and accounts were adopted.

The open Session held at 3.30 pm was inaugurated by Com. V.A.N.Namboodiri, Advisor. He explained in detail about the pay and pension revision from 01-01-2017 and negative approach of both management and government. The nefarious attempts of the government to weaken the BSNL are to be resisted strongly.

The meeting of BSNL DOT Pensioners of KORAPUT was held on 23-04-2017 in which Com.Sahadev Biswal delivered the inaugural speech. He explained the issues of Pensioners and the effective functioning of AIBDPA. Com.S.C.Bhattacharya, Circle Vice President and District Secretary, BSNLEU also addressed.

Coms.B.K.Patil, P.K.Devre and S.N.Sancheti were elected unanimously as President, Secretary and Treasurer.

Another Circle Branch has been formed in ALTTC on  18-04-2017. The meeting for this purpose at Ghasiabad was inaugurated by Com.V.A.N.Namboodiri, Advisor.

The subject session of ANDHRA CIRCLE Conference has bifurcted the circle branch to ANDHRA and Telangana. 

Com.K.S.C.Bose, Asst. Circle Secretary,in the absence of Com.Ramachandradu, Circle Secretary due to the demise of his brother, presented the report and Com.K.Narasimha Rao submitted the accounts which were adopted unanimously.
