The Central Executive Committee meeting held at Eranakulam on 18th & 19th may 2012 had decided to hold the triennial All India Conference at Kannur in January 2013.

A preparatory Committee has been formed at Kannur on 07.06.2012. The convention held for this purpose was presided over by Com. P.V. UnaikrishananCircle Vice President AIBDPA and inaugurated by Com. P.V. Chandrasekharan, All India Patron. Com. N. Ramesan, Circle Secretary, Kerala, P. Manoharan, district Secretary BSNLEU Kannur and K. Kunhiraman District Secretary AIBDPA Kannur spoke. The preparatory committee consists of all the district committee members of both AIBDPA and BSNNLEU Kannur with office bearers Com. P. Manoharan (President) Com. K. Kunhiraman (Convener) and Com. T.V. Janardhanan (Treasurer)

The preparatory committee in consultation with CHQ has decided to hold the conference on 23rd & 24th January 2013. A convenient and beautiful auditorium in the heart of the city of Kannur has already been booked as venue of the AIC.

BSNL indefinite STRIKE from 13^th  June 2012. Labour Commissioner calls Unions and Management for conciliatory talks on 11^th June.

Com.K G Jayarj,General Secretary has joined CHQ on 7th June and will continue there for about 45 days.CHQ calls upon all units to extend all possible support to the strike of Joint forum from 13th June 2012.Hold demonstrations at all offices on 13th.

BSNL management has issued orders  suspending the new/additional increased allowances to the non-optee ITS officers. It is issued after the executives and non-executives decided to organise struggles for restoration of the allowances/benefits cut and grant of 78.2% etc. The decision to organise massive dharna on 6th June and for going on Indefinite Strike w.e.f. 13th June has un-nerved the management. The Management fully knows that the immediate grant of about 15 allowances to non-optee ITS oficers had irritated the workers.
We are not against granting benifits to the ITS officers.We are against the decision of the management denying the benifits that were enjoyed by the employees.It was agreed that issue of  the decision to deny the benifits would be would be re-opened in the next financial year and would be discuused with the concerned,but it was not fullfilled.We would go for agitation until the demands are met.

The JCA of BSNL executives and non executives  associations/unions have decided to go for indefinite strike from 13th June 2012 demanding restoration of medical allowance,bonus and LTC,Consider 78.2% IDA for pay/pension revision etc.While the entire staff is denied with the benifits they were availing,the BSNL management has decided to allow more allowances and benifits  to ITS officers who are still continuing tin the company without option to BSNL.CHQ calls all our members to extent full support to the strike.

Com Parul Bose, wife of veteran P&T leader Com K G Bose passed away today. She was a trade union leader herself and had to face assault during semi-facist period in West Bengal.AIBDPA mourns the death of Com Parul Bose.
