Telecommnications and network solutions provider ZTE Corporation has bagged GSM deal from BSNL.ZTE would support 10.5 million BSNL lines across the country.It will provide planning,financing,supply,installation,testing and commissioning and annual maintenance of GSM lines.

Concessional broadbrand connection to pensioners order issued
The management committee of BSNL board has approved to provide Concessional broadbrand connection to below JAG level BSNL retired employees at their residence.
The revised policy is as follows
a) Provision of 60% on rentals as being offered on the residential broadband connection to below JAG level BSNL retired employee residing in BSNL area.
b) Other charges including the charges for modem etc will be borne by the employee
Concessional broadbrand connection to pensioners- orders expected by 25th June
As assured by CMD the orders for the concessional broadband connection to pensioners is expected to be issued by 25th June
Meeting with CMD BSNL
Com. K G Jayaraj General Secretary along with Com P Abhimanyu General Secretary BSNLEU and Com. P Ashoka Babu Dy GS BSNLEU met Shri R K Upadhyay CMD BSNL and discussed the issues identified by Ernakulam CEC on 20th June. CMD agreed to issue orders on broadband cancession to pensioners

All India Conference at Kannur postponed to 6 th & 7 th Feb 2013
Due to certain technical reasons the Dates of the Triennial All India Conference at Kannur stands postponed to 6th & 7th February 2013
Why 78.2%
The difference is 564 ie 9.4% of 6000, When 9.4 is added to 68.8 gets 78.2%
Massive participation in 15th june programme
The CGMT/GMT march held on June 2012 was a grand success with the participation of hundreads of our members demanding aprroval of 19 point charter of demands.78.2% DA merger on pay revision from 1.1.2007 was one amongst our demand.Restoration of medical allowace which was enjoyed by the pensioners,Relaxation of rules in allotting quarters for pensioners,granting of funeral allowanc&,festival allowance,merger of 50% IDA in basic pension etc are our other issues to be settled.Financial viability of BSNL is another major issue raised by the Assosiation.
13th Strike withdrawn
The strike sceduled on 13th June 2012 withdrawn after the BSNL management agreed to revise the pay w.e.f 1.1.2007 considering 78.2% DA ,without arrears(ie only prospective effect).For all other allowances the DA would be 68.8.The benifit would be extended to Pensioners also.
