CHQ Office Bearers,Circle Secretaries and District Secretaries are requested to organise MASS DEMONSTRATION on 15th May,2013 at Circle and District levels demanding settlement of demands included in the Charter of Demands submitted on 18th April,2013.
The Confederation of Central Govt.Employees and Workers has decided to conduct Dharna/Demonstration at district level on 29th April,2013 demanding 50% DA merger,appointment of 7th Pay Commission etc.
AIBDPA units are requested to extend solidarity for the programme.
We have already taken up the demand of 50% IDR merger which is included in the Charter of Demands and has to implement the decision to conduct Mass Demonstration at Circle and District level on 15th May,2013 with maximum participation.
A Parliamentary panel has asked the Central Government to review the new equipment procurement guidelines,which are causing delays in network expansion to ensure growth of state run telecom firms BSNL & MTNL.
The panel said that while the growth in the telecom sector had been stupendous in the last five years,the share of state run telecom operators had declined from 34.69 percent at the end of 2007 to 14.42 per cent at the end of July,2011.
The report tabled in Parliament further said that if there are any restrictive aspects in its guidelines,it is for the goverenment to review and make appropriate modifications.

This time May Day is being observed in the country in the backdrop of the massive two days strike on 20-21 February 2013 in which 12 crore workers participated against the anti people and anti worker policies of the central government.The unprecedented unity of all the trade unions in the strike has to be furthur stegthened to wage more strong struggles.

The CEC decided to conduct the membership campaign in July,2013.
Two vacant posts of Circle Organising Secretaries were filled up by nominating Com.M.Selvaraj and Com.Muthukumara Swamy.
According to Gartner,a research firm,mobile connections are likely to grow to 770 million in 2013,up 11% from 712 million in 2012.
However the mobile services revenue is expected to grow by 8 per cent to Rs.1.20 lakh crore in 2013,whereas the revenue in 2012 was Rs.1.1 lakh crore.
The Central Cabinet has approved DA/DR increase of 8% from 1st January,2013 for central Government employees and pensioners.After this hike the DA/DR will be 80%.The order in this regard is expected to be issued early.
As per the decision of the All India Conference held at Kannur on 6-7 February,2013,the 22 point Charter of Demands has been submitted to almost all the CGMTs/CCAs and PGMT/GMTs at Circle and SSA levels respectively on 18th April.

The United Forum led by BSNLEU has won the sixth membership verification held on 16th April,with huge margin,despite all sort of sladerous campaign by its rivals.

FNTO. – 14088(6.89%)
BSNLEU has also wrested five circles where it lost in the 5th membership verification.
