FOUNDATION CONFERENCE OF ALL INDIA POSTAL & RMS PENSIONERS ASSOCIATION.

The foundation conference of ALL INDIA POSTAL & RMS PENSIONERS ASSOCIATION has been held at Vellore in Tamilnadu on 19th & 20th July,2014. Com.T.K.Rangarajan,MP inaugurated the conference. Com.D.K.Rahate presided. Com. S. K. Vyas, Secretary General, NCCPA & BCPC, Com. M. Krishnan, Secretary General, NFPE & Confederation, Com. K. G. Jayaraj,General Secretary, AIBDPA and a host of leaders spoke. Com.K. Raghavendran welcomed the gathering. More than 500 delegates from all the states participated.

SHRI.RAKESH GARG IS THE NEW SECRETARY,DOT

Shri.Rakesh Garg, IAS is being posted as the new Secretary, DOT and Chairman, Telecom Commission. The post of Secretary, DOT fell vacant consequent on the retirement of Shri. M. F. Farooqui.

AIBDPA heartily welcomes Shri. Rakesh Garg and wishes him all success in the new post. 

78.2% IDA MERGER-DOT SENDS CLARIFICATIONS TO DEPT OF EXPENDITURE.

DOT HAS ATLAST SENT THE CLARIFICATIONS SOUGHT BY THE DEPARTMENT OF EXPENDITURE ON 78.2% IDA MERGER AFTER MUCH PURSUATIONS,PRESSURE AND AGITATIONS BY AIBDPA , BSNLEU AND FORUM OF BSNL UNIONS/ASSOCIATIONS.

IN THE LETTER  DATED 11TH JULY,2014,SENT TODAY,THE 14TH JULY THE FOLLOWING POINTS ARE CLARIFIED .

1.FOR THE PRE 2007 PENSIONERS CABINET NOTE WILL BE PREPARED AND SENT FOR APPROVAL.

2.FOR THE PENSIONERS,RETIRED BETWEEN 01-01-2007 AND 09-06-2013,NOTIONAL FIXATION WILL BE GIVEN FOR WHICH PRECEDENTS HAVE BEEN POINTED OUT.

3.REGARDING 60-40,THE DOT HAS REPLIED THAT PENSION PAID ARE WITHIN THE LIMITS OF THE PAYMENTS RECIEVED FROM BSNL.

AIBDPA  , BSNLEU AND FORUM WILL FURTHUR PURSUE FOR EARLY SETTLEMENT OF THE ISSUE.

According to the central labour department the minimum wages as on 01-04-2013 is given below-

1,54,882 POST OFFICES IN THE COUNTRY.

There are 1,54,882 Post Offices in India. This was revealed by Shri. Ravi Shankar Prasad, Minister for Communicaions & IT in reply to a question raised in the Parliament. Out of these, 1,39,182 are in the rural areas and 15,700 in urban. It was also stated that during the period of 2011-14, 150 post offices were closed. It is proposed to open 160 post offices in 2014-15.

DELHI IS SECOND MOST POPULOUS CITY IN THE WORLD.

According to the United Nation’s report, Delhi is the second most populous city with 25 million population. Tokyo continues to be the most populous city with 38 million.

Delhi has almost doubled its population during the last 25 years, since 1990. Mumbai is in the 4th position with 21 million along with Mexico and Sauo Paulo.

The combined population of China,India, US, Brazil, Indonesia, Japan and Russia is more than half of the world population of 7.1 billion.

July 11th is the world population Day.

 

ONLY MARGINAL INCREASE IN INCOME TAX LIMIT.

The Union Finance Minister in his budget proposals has given only marginal hike in the income tax limit,contrary to the expectations of lakhs of workers.

The present Rs.2 lakh limit is made Rs.2.5 lakh and for the Senior Citizens the limit is increased to Rs.3 lakh from the present Rs.2.5 lakh.
