GENERAL STRIKE ON 2nd SEPTEMBER, 2016 A GRAND SUCCESS.

The countrywide General Strike on 02-09-2016 has created a new history  in the annals of working class struggles in India. According to initial reports more than 15 crore workers have participated in the 17th strike being waged since 1991. It has been a strong rebuff of the workers not only against the anti-people and anti-worker policies of the central government but also its arrogance of neglecting the central trade unions and federations. The workers belonging to BMS also participated in the strike rejecting the cheating approach of its leadership. Most importantly the general strike was supported by the vast majority of the people.

The striking workers staged rallies, dharnas, demonstrations etc through out the country according to local conditions. The pensioners as per the call of NCCPA, AIBDPA and AIPRPA also conducted solidarity programmes.

AIBDPA heartily congratulates all the workers participated in the historic strike and also the pensioners who supported the strike by organizing various solidarity programmes.

EXTENSION OF CGHS TO BSNL PENSIONERS- DOT ISSUES ORDERS FIXING RATE OF SUBSCRIPTION TO AVAIL THE FACILITIES.

One of the long pending issues of BSNL pensioners is settled. AIBDPA had taken up the issue of extension of CGHS facilities to BSNL pensioners with both BSNL and DOT and orders were also issued. But in the absence of specific rate to join CGHS by the BSNL pensioners who were drawing IDA pay scale and subscription in force being in the CDA pay scale it could not be implemented.  This was again brought to the notice of DoT and the orders is now issued on 31-08-2016 in this regard. All 2199 mobile towers erected in naxalite areas by BSNL. Congratulations!

It is stated by Shri Anupam Shrivastava, CMD BSNL, that all the projected 2199 mobile towers in the naxalite areas have been installed, before the target period of December 2016. This is a great achievement of the management and the workers of BSNL. Hearty Congratulations to all involved! It is to be noted here that the private companies are shying away from erecting mobile towers and giving service in the naxalite and other troubled areas. They are only interested in profit. It is only BSNL, the telecom PSU, which enters these domains and provide service.

Reliance Industries cheated THE GOVERNMENT by pumping oil from ONGC oil field – A.P.Shah panel

It is now established that the Reliance Industries have made huge money by pumping oil from the nearby ONGC oil fields through connectivity reservoirs etc. The Shaw panel also mentions that though this information was available with both companies,  it was kept a secret.

The unions as well as political parties had raised the issue several years back, but no government took any action. The government has now to take serious action against the Reliance company both criminal and civil for cheating and making loss to the government.
