HASSAN DISTRICT CONFERENCE HELD ENTHUSIASTICALLY.

The fourth biennial District Conference of Hassan has been held successfully on 06-10-2017. Com.Zuber Ahamed, District President presided. Coms.G.G.Patil, AGS, C.K.Gundanna, Circle Secretary, BSNLEU,R.G.Bhandari, Circle President, Muddaiah, Circle Secretary, G.B.Salakki, former CHQ Treasurer and a host of leaders participated and addressed.

Coms.M.N.Bommegowda, S.A.Ramachandra and Chandra Shetty have been elected unanimously as President, District Secretary and Treasurer respectively.

 

GENERAL SECRETARY RETURNED TO ALAPPUZHA.

Com.K.G.jayaraj, General Secretary who had joined CHQ on 19-09-2017 and returned to his home district, Alappuzha on 06-10-2017- How ever he will again come to New Delhi on 23-10-2017 in connection with the Mass Dharna in Delhi on 25-10-2017.

Com.R.A.Nair, Treasurer who have joined CHQ on 03-10-2017 will remain in New Delhi up to 10-11-2017. He can be contacted on his mobile Nos.72918 34184 and 94467 54111.

GULBARGA DISTRICT HELD ITS MONTHLY MEETING WITH GOOD PARTICIPATION OF PENSIONERS.

Com.N.R.Bhosle participating in the monthly meeting of Gulbarga District appealed to strengthen the organisation and participate in the struggles being called for wage revision, pension revision and protection of BSNL. He also appealed to contribute liberally to the organisation for the effective functioning of all the units. The meeting held at E-10 B Exchange premises on 02-10-2017 was presided over by Com.A.Guranna, District President. Com.M.R.Ujalambakar, District Secretary welcomed all and reported the issues taken up and settled. Earlier, the meeting paid homage to the departed comrades, B.Rachappa and T.M.Kamalapur. Com.Md Hameeduddin proposed vote of thanks.

KARNATAKA CIRCLE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING HELD AT HASSAN.

The Circle Executive Committee Meeting of Karnataka was successfully held at Hassan on 05-10-2017 befittingly. Com.R.G.Bhandari, Circle President controlled the proceedings. Com.Muddaiah, Circle Secretary presented the report for the intervening period. Com.G.G.Patil, Asst General Secretary spoke elaborately on the current developments on 3rd PRC and pension revision, Delhi Dharna on 25-10-2017 etc. All the district secretaries and most of the circle office bearers participated in the discussion.

The CEC decided to strengthen the organisation and exhorted the members to participate in the struggle programmes being launched for the settlement of the pensioners issues. 

 

EFFORTS FOR UNITED STRUGGLE SUCCEEDED- MEETING OF ALL UNIONS AND ASSOCIATIONS TAKES HISTORIC DECISION.

The hectic efforts for bringing again all the unions and associations under one umbrella and wage a united struggle for wage revision and against separate tower company has succeeded to the satisfaction of the entire BSNL employees and pensioners.  
The meeting of all the unions and associations held at the office of NFTE on 04-10-2017, after detailed discussion took the historical decision to fight unitedly under the banner of All Unions and Associations of BSNL.

The following information posted in the BSNLEU Website is a welcome step for further unity and struggles for achieving the immediate demands of the workers and improving BSNL. We congratulates all the unions and associations for this unity.

“CHQ is extremely glad to inform that historic decision is taken in the all union/association meeting, held at New Delhi today, to settle the Wage Revision issue and to stop the Subsidiary Tower Company. General Secretaries/Representatives of BSNLEU, NFTE, SNEA, AIBSNLEA, FNTO, AIGETOA, SEWA BSNL, BSNL MS, BSNL OA, ATM and TOA BSNL participated in the meeting. Marathon discussion took place, on the ways and means to strengthen unity. It was felt by all that unity should be strengthened to settle Wage Revision and also to stop the formation of Subsidiary Tower Company. Finally, unanimous decision was taken to function under the single banner of “All Unions and Associations of BSNL”. Other decisions taken in today’s meeting are as follows:-

Unanimous decisions taken in the all union/association
meeting held at New Delhi today.
(1) Hereafter, the unions and associations of BSNL will function under the single banner of
“All Unions and Associations of BSNL”, for conducting struggles on common issues
such as settlement of wage revision and stopping the formation of Subsidiary Tower
Company.
(2) Notices to be issued to the Management / government will be signed by all the general
secretaries of the unions and associations.
(3) The following issues are identified for immediate struggle and settlement.
a) Settlement of Wage Revision from 01-01-2017 and settlement of left out issues of
the 2nd PRC, viz., Superannuation benefits of the Directly Recruited employees.
b) Stopping formation of the Subsidiary Tower Company.
(4) The following agitational programme are decided to settle the above issues:-
a) Demonstration at Corporate Office, circles and SSAs on 16-10-2017.
b) Human Chain at Corporate Office, circles and SSAs on 16-11-2017.
c) Memorandum to be submitted to all the MPs by 15-11-2017.
d) Two day strike on 12th and 13th December, 2017.
e) Indefinite Strike is to be organised thereafter, if the issues are not amicably
settled. The date of the indefinite strike will be announced subsequently.
(5) Next meeting of the All Unions and Associations will be held at 11:00 hrs on 23.10.2017, at BSNL MS office.

OCTOBER 3, FOUNDATION DAY OF WFTU, THE MIGHTY ORGANISATION OF WORKERS OF THE GLOBE.

 

World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU), the major trade union federation in the world,, is celebrating its 72nd Foundation Day Anniversary. It was formed on 3rd October 1945 in Paris after the II World War was almost over. First meeting of  WFTU was attended by delegates representing 67 million workers from 56 national organizations from 55 countries and 20 international organizations. Many more Trade Union organisations have joined since. WFTU had in the past and is safeguarding the interests of the world working class. Let us further strengthen the WFTU.
