BSNL Employees Union , the champion of unity and struggle, has retained the first position in the 8th Membership verfication held on 16th September, 2019. It has secured 48,127 votes (43.44%) and will be the main recognised union. NFTE also will get the status of second recognised union with 39,132 votes (35.32%). All other unions got only nominal votes and insignificant percentage of votes.

The victory of BSNLEU is more significant that it has come out in flying colours overcoming the most difficult time resisting the slanderous campaign let loose by the vested interests , accusing it for the financial crisis of BSNL and non-achievement of wage revision etc. The result clearly shows that the BSNL workers have overwhemly rejected the ill motivated campaign and reposed their faith in BSNLEU.
