Tapan Sen addressing 'mahapadav' first day

Parliament Street in Delhi and the suburbs were virtually captured by the lakhs of workers who came to the capital city to participate in the three days ‘Mahapadav’ from 9th to 11th November, 2017 which concluded most successfully on 11th November.. On the last day it was the turn of women workers who came from all parts of the country in large numbers and made it memorable. The Mahapadav organised by the Central Trade Unions and the independent Federations of state, central and public sector on the 12 point charter of demands turned to be a significant milestone of struggles of the working class in the country. The unprecedented and huge participation and the enthusiasm shown by the participants on all these three days reflected the anger and anguish of the workers against the anti-worker and anti-people policies of the central government. The determination of the workers to fight out against the attack of the ruling class is a clear warning to the central government .

BSNL workers and pensioners have played their due role in this great struggle at the initiative of BSNL Employees Union, BSNL Casual & Contract Workers Federation and AIBDPA.
