Com.Binod Kumar, Circle President, BSNLEU presided. Com.Bijoy Paswan, Circle Secretary, BSNLEU welcomed the gathering. Coms. Bhagawan Sharma (AIBDPA) and Ravi Kumar (BSNLCCWF) also addressed.

The Circle Executive Committee meeting of Kolkata Telephones was held on 05-02-2024 under the presidentship of Com.Supriya Mitra, Circle President. Com.Sanjib Banerjee, Circle Secretary welcomed all ,presented the brief report and initiated discussion on agenda items including February 16th Strike called by BSNLEU, Pension revision and CoC programs. Com.Shankar Keshar Nepal, Circle Secretary, BSNLEU also spoke. All the district Secretaries and most of the Circle office bearers participated in the discussion. The CEC decided to mobilize maximum pensioners in support of the strike and to hold district level conventions successfully.

Ujjain hosted the CoC state level convention of MP on 04-02-2024 with good participation. Com. J P Pathak controlled the proceedings. Com.B S Raghuvanshi, Circle Secretary, BSNLEU & Convenor,CoC delivered the welcome address. Com.P Abhimanyu, General Secreatry, BSNLEU & Convenor Central CoC gave a good account of the issues confronting the employees, pensioners and contract workers and appealed to make the strike on 16-02-2024 a grand success. The state level convention of the Coordination Committee, Odisha was successfully organised at Bhubaneswar on 04-02-2024.Com.Sarat Mohanty presided over the convention. Initially, floral tributes and two minutes silence was observed in memory of Com.Sahdev Biswal, Veteran leader of Odisha who passed away on 03-02-2024. Com.J Kameswar Rao, Circle Secretary, BSNLEU welcomed one and all. Coms Pradipta Nayak, State Secretary, CITU and Animesh Mitra, President, BSNLEU & Secretary General ,BSNLCCWF explained the issues in detail. Coms.A Dhupal, CHQ Vice President, AIBDPA, Pravanjan Panigrahy, Circle Secretary, AIBDPA and Biswanath Behera, Circle Secretary, BSNLCCMU also addressed the convention.

Com.K G Jayaraj, General Secretary inaugurated Thiruvananthapuram biennial District conference held at Bank Employees Union hall, Thiruvanathapuram on 03-02-2024. Com.S Prathapkumar, District President was in chair. Com.C.Ramachandran, District Secretary welcomed one and all. Representing various organisations, Coms.S Ashokkumar (CGPA), Vinodkumar (NFPE), R S Binny (BSNLEU), Jacob Thomas(AIPRPA), S Sreekumar (AKBRF),B Susobhanan (DRPU),K Murukesan Nair (CCLU) and N Ganapathy Krishnan(LICPA) greeted the conference. The subject session was inaugurated by Com.N Guruprasad, Circle Secretary. Coms.R Muraleedharan Nair,AGS and C Santhoshkumar,ACS addressed. The report and audited accounts presented by Coms.C Ramachandran,District Secretary and S Sunilkumar,Treasurer were adopted after detailed discussion and reply. Representing 13 Area Branches, 273 delegates participated including 26 women delegates. Office bearers were elected unanimously with Com.S Pratapkumar (President), C Ramachandran (District Secretary) S Sunilkumar (Treasurer). The conference came to an end with vote of thanks by Com.K P Prathapachandran Nair.

The Coordination Committee of Maharashtra organised the state level convention at Pune on 03-02-2024 in a grand manner. Com.M I Jakati, Circle Secretary, AIBDPA and Chairman, CoC controlled the proceedings. Com.Ganesh Hinghe, Circle Secretary, BSNLEU and Convenor, CoC welcomed one and all. Inaugurating the convention, Com.P Abhimanyu, General Secretary, BSNLEU and Convenor ,Central CoC explained issues confronting the employees and pensioners. Coms. The state level convention of Coordination Committee, Karnataka was held at Bangalore on 02-02-2024. Com.Muddaiah, Circle Secretary, AIBDPA and Chairman, COC presided over the convention participated by a large number of employees and pensioners. Com.H V Sudharshan, Circle Secretary, BSNLEU and Convenor,CoC welcomed the gathering. Com.P Abhimanyu, General Secretary, BSNLEU and Convenor Central CoC inaugurated and spoke elaborately on the issues. Coms.C K Gundanna, AGS, BSNLEU, H C Prakash, AGS,AIBDPA, Irfan Pasha, CHQ Treasurer,BSNLEU also addressed.

Com.Sahadev Biswal, veteran leader of Odisha has passed away on 03-02-2024. He was under treatment for multiple ailments for some time long and the end came at KIMS hospital Bhubneswar in the early hours on 3rd February, 2024. Com.Biswal was a sincere and committed leader and has played a pivotal role along with Coms.P R Das and A Dhupal in strengthening telecom unions initially and later BSNLEU in Odisha. During this period he has held important posts at national level, including Vice President of BSNLEU. After retirement , he worked in tandem with Com.A Dhupal in forming and strengthening AIBDPA and took up the responsibilities of Circle Secretary, Circle President and Circle Patron. Com.K G Jayaraj, General Secretary along with Com.A Dhupal, CHQ Vice President had visited him at his home at Bhubaneswar and honoured during the circle conference of Odisha in May, 2023.
