Mrs.Nandavva Basappa Salakki, mother of Com.G.B.Salakki, former, CHQ Treasurer has passed away on 20-04-2018 at Bijapur. CHQ expresses its deep sorrow and conveys heartfelt condolences to Com.G.B.Salakki and the family.

The area conference of Chalakkudi was held at the Block Panjayath Hall, Chalakkudi on 21-04-2018. Com.N.Guruprasad, Circle Secretary inaugurated and explained the issues in detail. Com.K.K.Gopi presided and Coms. P.M.Gopalakrishnan, District Secretary, S.K.Gopalan, Circle Vice President and P.G.Vasudevan, District Vice President addressed. Com.O.S.Madhavan earlier welcomed all the participants. The report presented by Com.A.Prabhakaran, Area Secretary was adopted after discussion.
Coms.K.K.Gopi and A Prabhakaran have been relected as President and Secretary, respectively.
IRINJALAKUDA.
Irinjalakuda Area Conference also was held on 21st April, 2018 at Hindi Prachara Sabha hall under the presidentship of Com.K.P.Premdas. Com. N.Guruprasad, Circle Secretary delivered the inaugural address. Coms.P.M.Gopalakrishnan, District Secretary, P.G.Vasudevan, and P.G.Prakasan also addressed the conference.

DPE HAS REPLIED TO DOT ON EXPECTED LINES FOR WAGE REVISION IN BSNL.
Department of Public Enterprises has replied to the DOT letter on wage revision of BSNL employees as per 3rd PRC recommendations. The letter dated 18-04-2018 is only on the expected lines;
” BSNL does not fall under the category mentioned in para 5 DPE’s OM dated 03-08-2017 on 2017 pay revision. Further, it is mentioned that DPE has issued guidelines for 2017 pay revision which inter-alia includes an affordability clause, based on the recommendations of Committee of Secretaries (CoS) on the report of 3rd PRC. Any relaxation in the extant guidlines would require the approval of the Cabinet for whch DoT may examine the issue at their end for necessary action. “
France: The WFTU in solidarity with the working class in France on the occasion of 19 April strike
The World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU), representing 92 million members in 126 countries around the world, reiterates its internationalist solidarity with workers in France who will strike on 19 April.
In an international context where capitalists, multinationals and European bourgeoisies attack labor rights, promote anti-worker policies, reduce pensions and wages, dismantle social gains and union rights, European workers must organize their own counter attack. Today, it is more than ever necessary for workers to coordinate their struggles globally, under the values of internationalism and class solidarity.
At the same time, workers around the world must be well aware that the same political forces – like the Macron government – that are eliminating their labor rights are the same forces that bombed Syria a few days ago; they are the same imperialists who contribute to NATO and EU interventions and who, by assassinating peoples, maximize their profits. So, our answer must be the anti-imperialist struggle.
In this context, the WFTU expresses its solidarity and it guarantees the workers of France that will continue to firmly support their just claims.

In continuation of this Directorate’s Office Memorandum of even no. dated regarding empanelment under continuous empanelment scheme, the undersigned is to convey that in addition to the list of the hospitals (including dental clinics & eye centres) and diagnostic laboratories already empanelled, the hospitals (including dental clinics & eye centres) and diagnostic laboratories as per the list attached (22 HCOs) have also been empanelled under CGHS in Delhi & NCR with issuance Of this order. The newly empanelled hospitals (including dental clinics & eye centres) and diagnostic laboratories may be treated as included in the existing list of empanelled health care organization under CGHS on same terms and conditions as have been indicated in the Office Memorandum dated 26.12.2017.

The Imperialists bombarded Syria- WFTU STATEMENT.
Today early in the morning, 04.00 local time, the governments of USA, Great Britain and France bombarded the people of Syria, setting on fire the Southeastern Mediterranean Region. By using fabricated charges and excuses they want to redistribute the natural resources, the energy routes and the spheres of influence.
The WFTU condemns the attack on the state of Syria that breaks the rules of any international law, we call the workers of the world, the class oriented trade unions , the affiliates and friends of WFTU to unite their voices against the imperialistic interventions, the inter-imperialistic antagonisms, to show by any means their solidarity to the people of Syria.
We call the workers of the world to organise their struggle against NATO, EU and their allies, to be on guard against the plans of the governments of the imperialistic states that bloodshed the peoples for the profits of their monopolies.
With internationalism and international solidarity to uncover the Imperialists and the dangers that the imperialistic wars are creating. We assure the working class of Syria that we will stand on their side.
For the international class oriented trade union movement the people of Syria is the only responsible to decide freely and democratically for its own present and future and not the imperialists.
