The 6th biennial district conference of Tripura district branch was held on 25th February, 2024 at Press Club, Agartala. Com.B C Paul, District President controlled the proceedings. Com. M C Bhowmik, District Secretary welcomed and presented the report. Com. Com. Satyajit Deb, Circle Secretary,NE-I spoke elaborately on the issues of pension revision and medical benefits. The conference was greeted by the leaders of sister organisations, BSNLEU, SNEA etc. A good number of comrades participated in the discussion. Com.B C Paul (President) and Com.M C Bhowmik (District Secretary) have been reelcted in the unanimous election of office bearers.

The sixth biennial District Conference of Krishna has been held most successfully at MB Vignana Kendram Auditorium Vijayawada on 15-02-2024. Com.R Madhava Rao, President presided over the conference. Com.L Ramesh Babu, District Secretary welcomed the gathering. Com.P Ashokababu, CHQ Vice President inaugurated the conference . Com.K S C Bose, Circle Secretary delivered the keynote address and gave a good account of developments on medical issues and pension revision. Com.K Ramadevi, Circle Secretary, BSNLEU, Com.N Rama Rao, ACS, Com.S Krishna Balaji, ACS,BSNLEU, Com.K Prabhakara Rao (BSNLCCWF) and Com. Ravikumar, District Secreatry, BSNLEU addressed. Report and accounts presented by the Secretary and Treasurer were adopted after discussion. The following are the important functionaries of the office bearers elected unanimously; Com.R Madhava Rao (President) Com. L Rameshbabu (District Secretary) Com. N S Saibaba (Treasurer). The auditorium was jam packed with 400 participants. The conference concluded with vote of thanks by Com. K Siva Prasad.

The Circle Executive Committee meeting prior to the 7th biennial Circle Conference was held at P&T House, Thiruvananthapuram on 15-02-2024. Com.K Mohanan, Circle President controlled the proceedings. Com.N Guruprasad , Circle Secretary welcomed . Com.K G Jayaraj, General Secretary inaugurated the meeting with a brief speech explaining the latest dvelopments in respect of pension revision. Thereafter, Com.N Guruprasad presented the draft biennial report to the Circle Conference being held on February 24-25, 2024. Com.N Vikraman Nair, Treasurer presented the audited accounts. All the district Secretaries and most of the Circle office bearers actively participated in the discussion and the report was adopted with some minor changes. Com.P Surendran, General Convenor of the Reception Committee of the 7th Circle Conference reported on the arrangements being made for the successful conduct of the conference at Alappuzha.

A virtual global meeting of TUI(P&R) was held on 14th February, 2024 from 9.30 P.M to 12.20 A.M Comrade Dimos Koumpouris, President presided. A total of 27 participants representing different countries attended. All the participants spoke in their own languages. General Secretary Com.Quim Boix spoke very few lines in English , otherwise in Spanish language. The translation provided was not effective. From India Com. K. Ragavendran, K.G.Jayaraj, Com. Ashok Kanti Ghosh and Com D.K.Debnath participated. However, they could not speak in the meeting. Com.K G Jayaraj had sent his written speech well before the meeting as required by the General Secretary and in turn was forwarded to all by email. Com.K Ragavendran sent his opinion in writing after the meeting. The meeting was the last one before the 3rd Congress being held at Athens on 14-18 April, 2024.

Kottayam District has held its biennial district conference with good participation at Tarapada Bhavan, Kottayam on 10-02-2024. Com.K Anilkumar, Advocate inaugurated the conference. Com.N Guruprasad, Circle Secretary delivered the keynote address. Com.P R Ajayakumar, District President controlled the proceedings.Leaders of various organisations greeted the conference. Com.T N Nandappan, District Secretary welcomed all and presented the report and accounts. A set of new office bearers with Com. R Amrithakumar (President) Com.P R Sabu (District Secretary) Com.K E Abraham (Treasurer) were elected unanimously.

The biennial district conference of Warangal has been held befittingly with good participation on 10-02-2024. Coms. V P Shankar, CHQ Vice President, Ramachandradu, Circle Secretary, J Sampath Rao,AGS,BSNLEU, G Sambasiva Rao, Circle Secretary, BSNLEU and Thirumalachary, Circle President,BSNLCCWF addressed. Coms. Anjaneyalu, Mohan Babu and Bikshapaty have been elected Presient, District Secretary and Treasurer, respectively.

Com.B P Singh, Senior leader & Circle President, BSNLEU presided over the convention held at Patna on 08-02-2024. Com.Animesh Mitra, President, BSNLEU & Secretary General, BSNLCCWF inaugurated and explained the issues raised by the CoC and called on to make the strike on 16th February successful. Com.N K Srivastava, Circle Secretary, AIBDPA , Prasant Kumar, Circle Secretary, BSNLEU and Com,Laxman Kumar, Circle Secretary, BSNLCCWF also addressed.

Kolkata Telephones has held its COC convention at Kolkata on 09-02-2024. Com.Sanjib Banerjee, Circle Secretary, AIBDPA and Chairman, COC presided over the convention. Com.Sankar Nepal, Circle Secretary, BSNLEU and Convenor, COC welcomed and explained issues and appealed to make the strike on 16-02-2024 successful. Com.Swastika Dasgupta, CHQ Vice President, AIBDPA also addressed.

The Gujarat circle Coordination Committee organised the convention at Ahmedabad 08-02-2024. A large number of working employees, pensioners and contract workers participated in this convention. Com. M.B Chaniara,CS, AIBDPA, presided over the convention. Com. Vijay Prajapati, CS, BSNLEU. welcomed everyone and spoke briefly on the need to organise the convention. Com. P.Abhimanyu, GS addressed the convention and explained in detail about the charter of demands on which the 16th February strike is being organised. He appealed to the employees to participate enmasse in the strike and to make it a grand success. Com.Sunil Thakkar, CS, BSNLCCWF, greeted the convention.

Nellore biennial district conference was held at Rotary Club Auditorium, Nellore on 07-02-2024 with large participation. Com.G Ramagopal, District President presided over the conference. Com.T Nageswara Rao, District Secretary welcomed all and presented the report and accounts. Com.K S C Bose, Circle Secretary inaugurated and explained the issues in detail.
