MYSURU DISTRICT CONFERENCE HELD SUCCESSFULLY.

The 3rd biennial District Conference of Mysuru has been held befittingly on 22-12-2019 at RTTC,Mysuru with good participation of pensioners. Com.Gopalakrishna, District President controlled the proceedings. Inaugurating the conference, Com.Muddiah, Circle Secretary dealt on the important issues of the pensioners. Com.H C Prakash,AGS explained the decisions of Guwahati CEC. Coms.Earanna, Circle President, R G Bhandari,ACS, Subramonya,District Secretary,BSNLEu and Ganesh, District Secretary,AIBSNLEA greeted the conference. Com.Basavaraju, District Secretary delivered the welcome address.

A new set of office bearers have been elected unanimously with the following important functionaries;

Com.Gopalakrishna (President), Com.Basavaraju (District Secretary) and Com.R P Ramakrishna (Treasurer)

GAYA DISTRICT BRANCH FORMED.

Bihar Circle under the leadership of Com.N K Srivastava, Circle Secretary is surging ahead. A new District Branch has been formed in Gaya on 23-12-2019. The meeting of BSNL and DoT pensioners held in this regard was inaugurated by Com.N K Srivastava with an elaborate speech on the issues of the pensioners, including nonpayment of medical benefits, pension revision, revival package of BSNL and VRS and the decisions of Guwahati CEC. Com.B N Sigh presided over the meeting.

The District Branch was formed by electing the office bearers unanimously with Coms.B N Singh (President), Ganesh Paswan (District Secretary) and Mahendra Prasad (Treasurer)

SPECIAL CONVENTION OF CHENNAI TELEPHONES.

Com. K G Jayaraj, General Secretary inaugurated a special convention held at Flower Bazaar exchange, Chennai on 21 – 12-2019. Com. K. Arumugam, Circle President presided over the convention . Com. V. Kuppan, Circle Secretary welcomed the gathering.

General Secretary in his hour long address slammed Modi government for its devisive policy, the latest being the Citizenship Amendment Act, even challenging the constitutional provisions , against which widespread protest is grooming large all over the country. He also explained the decisions of the Guwahati CEC, including phased programme of agitation culminating in the Parliament March for settlement of pension revision . He also appealed to support the National Strike on 8th January, 2020 called by the Central Trade Unions and joined by independent federations by organising Solidarity programme. The responsibility of enrolling maximum number of VRS optees has to be taken up in right earnest. Another important task is to protect BSNL in the changed situation.

Coms. M. Kanniappan, Circle Secretary, BSNLEU, K. Govindaraj, ACS, E. Monibalan, Vice President also addressed the convention. Com. N. Raju, Circle Treasurer proposed vote of thanks.

A large number of pensioners including lady comrades participated.

TAMIL NADU CIRCLE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING HELD MOST SUCCESSFULLY.

Cuddlore District hosted Tamil Nadu Circle Executive Committee meeting at the conference hall of Telephone Exchange, Cuddalore on 20th December, 2019 in befitting manner. 

The meeting was presided over by Com. C. K. Narasimhan, Circle President. Coms. I. M. Mathialgan, District Secretary, Cuddalore on behalf of the hosting branch and N  . Kuppusamy, Circle Secretary for the Circle Branch welcomed all the participants.

Com. K G Jayaraj, General Secretary inaugurated the meeting and spoke on the decisions of the Central Executive Committee meeting held at Guwahati. The first decision to launch Mass Dharna at SSA level against nonpayment of medical benefits has already been conducted with large participation of the pensioners through out the country on 17th December, 2019.

On Pension revision a phased programme of agitation has been decided culminating in the Parliament March on 12th March, 2020 and appealed to make it a grand success. It was also decided to support the national strike on 8th January, 2020 called by Central Trade unions. General Secretary also reported on the 4th triennial conference of NCCPA held at Jaipur on 1-2,November and the Secretariat meeting at New Delhi on 15th December, 2019.

Coms. S. Mohandoss, CHQ Vice President, K. Pankajavalli, CHQ Asst Treasurer, V. Kuppan, Circle Secretary, Chennai Telephones, K. T. Sampantham, District Secretary, BSNLEU and Vijayanand, District Secretary, TNTCWU also addressed.

Com. N Kuppusamy presented the work report and Com. S. Nataraja, Treaurer the accounts. Circle Secretary also reported that the long pending case of nonpayment of 78. 2% IDA fixation  to those drawn one extra increment has been settled after serving notice for agitation. All the district secretaries and circle office bearers, numbering 32 participated in discussion. General Secretary and Circle Secretary replied to the issues raised in the discussion.

The meeting decided to implement the decisions of Guwahati CEC successfully.
