As per the call of CHQ, Puducherry AIBDPA comrades met Shri Ve. Vaithilingam, Honorable Member of Parliament, Lok sabha and Shri N. Gokulakrishnan, Honorable Member of Parliament, Rajya sabha on 13-01-2020 and submitted the memorandum to be given to the Honorable Prime Minister. Both of them assured the delegation to take the Pension Revision case of BSNL Pensioners with Prime Minister and Minister of Communications. Com P. Sakthivel ACS, Com V. BSNLEU has written to the CMD BSNL, demanding to take the needful action for the resumption of the wage negotiations, for finalising an early wage settlement. It is pointed out in the letter, how the DoT had given approval for starting the wage negotiations and how the wage negotiations have reached an advanced stage, after formation of the Joint Wage Negotiating Committee. It has also been pointed out that the Corporate Office had assured prior to the Membership Verification that the Wage Negotiations would resume once recognition to the unions were granted after completion of the Verification.

Smt.Kanimozhi , Member of Loka Sabha from Tuticorin and daughter of Shri.M Karunanidhi received the AIBDPA delegation very cordially, heard them patiently, accepted the copy of memorandum to be submitted to the Prime Minister and assured speedy and effective intervention for early settlement of pension revision.
The delegation consisted Coms.S.Mohandoss, CHQ Vice President, P.Ramar, District Secretary, Tuticorin, , T K Sreenivasan, District Advisor, T Subramonian ,District President, K Ganesan, District Treasurer and Ayya Pillai, Asst District Secretary.

Com.N Guruprasad, Circle Secretary inaugurated Cherthala Area convention on 11-01-2020 and gave a good account of recent developments, particularly non payment of medical claims and allowance and denial of pension revision on which Guwahati CEC decided for continurd stuggle.
Com.P Surendran, District Secretary also addressed the convention and appealed to utilize the opportunity of strengthening the organisation by enrolling all the VRS optees to AIBDPA. Com.T P Joseph, Vice President presided over the meeting and Com.P.Rajeevan, Area Secretary welcomed all the participants.


Belgaum District Conference has been held on 11-01-2020 with a large participation of more than 450 pensioners . Com.R B Tatapati, District President and Circle Vice President presided and delivered the introductory speech, covering the current issues. Com. Muddiah, Circle Secretary inaugurated the conference and explained in detail the issues and the decisions of Guwahati CEC , including the phased programme of agitation for pension revision. Com.H C Prakash, AGS appealed to entroll the VRS retirees to AIBDPA and further strengthen it. Coms.Earanna, Circle President, D D Shanwad, ACS, S K Gasti and N V Hulgi (Retd DGM) also addressed the conference. The report and accounts presented by Com. S S Sarapure, District Secretary was adopted after discussion.

Coms.K G Jayaraj, General Secretary, N Guruprasad, Circle Secretary and P Surendran, District Secretary met Com.A M Arif, Lok Sabha Member from Alappuzha on 11-01-2020 and sought his help for early settlement of pension revision of BSNL absorbed retirees. The delegation also appraised him of Guwahati CEC decision of phased program of agitation, culminating with the Parliament March on 12th March, 2020. Com.A M Arif assured the delegation all the possible help including taking up the issue with the government.

Com.P R Natarajan, Loka Sabha Member is familiar to telecom comrades, as he used to take up their issues during his earlier tenure as an MP representing Coimbatore. In the last Lok Sabha elections, Com.P R Natarajan was again elected with a thumping majority. This time also Com.PR is very much helpful to our isues and had already written to Shri.Ravi Shankar Prasad, Hon”ble Communications Minister for early settlement of pension revision of BSNL absorbed retirees, when his earnest efforts to arrange a meeting of AIBDPA leaders with the minister could not be materialised.
Our Coimbatore comrades on 11-01-2020 along with Com.N Kuppusamy , Circle Secretary have met Com.P R Natarajan and appraised him of the present position of the issue and handed over the copy of memorandum to be submitted to the Prime Minister. Com.PR readily promised the delegation that he will definitely take up the issue with the Prime Minister.

The delegation also handed over the copy of memorandum to be submitted to the Prime Minister. The MP assured the delegation prompt action on the matter.
