
AIBDPA writes to DoT demanding urgent restoration of arbitrarily reduced LPD for pension to hundreds of pensioners.

The 6th biennial District Conference of Berhampore, West Bengal was held befittingly on 23-02-2025 at the BSNL Office premises. Coms.Tapan Bhowmik, Samir Dutta and Mamata Sarkar were in the presidium. Inaugurating the conference, Com.Asis Das, Circle Secretary gave a good account of developments in the recent past with regard to the issues of pensioners and highlighted the struggles waged for pension revision. Com.Madhusudan Saha, Circle Organising Secretary also spoke on the occasion.
Com.Manoranjan Ghosh, District Secretary and Com. Dipankar Datta, Treasurer presented the report and audited accounts, respectively . Several comrades took part in the discussion that followed after which both report and accounts were adopted. Com. Marnard Murmu, District Secretary, BSNLEU and Com. Golam Murtaja of BSNL CMU greeted the conference.
In the unanimous election of office bearers, Com. Amal Kumar Saha (President) Com. Tapan Kumar Bhowmik (District Secretary) Com.Mamata Sarkar (Treasurer) are the important functionaries.
Com.A Dhupal, CHQ Vice President inaugurated Balangir biennial district conference giving a good account of developments on the important issues of the pensioners. Com. Pravanjan Kumar Panigrahy, Circle Secretary dealt on the organisational matter and highlighted the struggles conducted for settlement of the issues. He also appealed to further strengthen AIBDPA for the best interests of the pensioners. The conference was held at the conference hall of DGM, BSNL ,Balangir on 23-02-2025 under the presidentship of Com.Ghanasyam Mohananda, District President. Com. Ram Chandra Naik, District Secretary welcomed all and presented the report and accounts which were adopted after discussion.

Silchar District Branch, Assam has held its 4th biennial conference on 22-02-2025. Com.Dipak Chakraborty, District President controlled the proceedings. Com.S N Sarma , Circle Secretary inaugurated the conference with a detailed speech covering almost all the issues of the pensioners including pension revision, medical benefits . The report and accounts presented by the District Secretary were adopted after discussion.
In the lection of office bearers held unanimously Coms. Dipak Chakraborty, Sujit Choudhury and Narayan Das were elected President, District Secretary and Treasurer, respectively.
The District conference of Keonjhar telecom district was held on 16-02-2025 at BSNL office premises. The conference was presided over by Com. Akhaya Kumar Mohanta, District President.Com.Ananada Charan Jena, District Secretary welcomed all and presented the report on activities . Com.A Dhupal, CHQ Vice President delivered the inaugural address and geve a good account of the recent developments on pensioners issues and the functioning of CHQ. He also appealed to further strengthen the organisation by enrolling more pensioners and family pensioners. Com.Satya Ranjan Samal, CS<BSNLEU greeted the conference .
A new set of office bearers were elected unanimously with Com. Satya Ranjan Samal (President), Ananda Chandra Jena (District Secretary) and Com. Kirani Pradhan (Treasurer).
It is a matter of great significance that in the meeting 33 new members joined AIBDPA with much enthusiasm.

Com.R Rajasekar, Circle Secretary delivered the inaugural address covering the issues of the pensioners including pension revision, medical issues and the struggles launched for settlement of the long standing pending issues. He also slammed the attempts of vested interests to target the workers and pensioners and divide the people in the name of religion and caste. Coms. John Borgia, ACS, G Sundararajan, Circle Organising Secretary, Richard, District Secretary, BSNLEU and Chitramani, District Secretary, TNTCWU also addressed the conference.

The 3rd Circle Conference of Andhra has been held in a befitting manner at MB Vinjnana Kendram, Vijayawada on 14-02-2025. Com.P Asokababu, CHQ Vice President hoisted the AIBDPA flag to begin with the conference. The inaugural session was held at 10AM and Com.M Yacob, Circle President presided.
Com.K G Jayaraj, General Secretary in his inaugural address explained the issues covering International, National and of the pensioners. He highlighted the efforts and struggles conducted by AIBDPA for medical benefits ,both BSNL MRS and CGHS and Pension Revision. He also came down heavily on Modi government for its pro-corporate , antipeople and divisive policies. The proposal of the government for implementing the four labour codes replacing 29 labour laws are detrimental to the interests of working class and AIBDPA is committed to join the united struggles of central trade unions against the draconian labour codes. He also appealed to make the “Meet the Pensioner ” programme a grand success.
Com.A V Nageswara Rao, CITU State President, Com.K S Lakshmana Rao MLC addressed . Sri Tarachand, CCA greeted the conference and assured every possible action for smooth resolution of pensioners issues.
In the subject session, Com.KSC Bose, Circle Secretary presented the report followed by submission of audited accounts by the Treasurer, Com.MSN Reddy and were adopted after discussion. Coms. The 5th Kolkata Central District conference, under Kolkata Telephones Circle has been held with good participation at Babu Tarapada Memorial Hall, Kolkata on 30-01-2025. Com.Sanjib Banerjee, AGS & Circle Secretary inaugurated the conference with a spirited speech covering almost all the issues. Coms.
