HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY.

The country is celebrating its 75th Independence Day on 15th August, 2021. At this occasion let us remember the sacrifices of thousands of heroes who fought to liberate this great country from the colonial cluches of the British. The present scenoria in the country is full of challenges; threatening the hard earned soveriegnity, secularism, democracy and the very rights of the people ensured in our constitution. So let us pledge to continue the fight to protect the country from all the evils.
PENSION REVISION- CHQ IS MAKING ALL OUT EFFORTS TO SETTLE THE ISSUE OF PENSION REVISION TO BSNL ABSORBED PENSIONERS FROM 01-01-2017 WITH 15% FITMENT, DELINKING WAGE REVISION IN BSNL. As per the deicision of the Guwahati CEC, AIBDPA had met 110 MPs in the country and submitted memorandum on this issue. Some of the MPs like Com.P R Natarajan took earnest efforts to write to the Minister of Communications urging early settlement. Now, on our initiative Com. John Brittas MP (Rajya Sabha) from Kerala has written to both the Finanace Minister and Communications Minister.

CORPORATE OFFICE ISSUES CLARIFICATION ON FRESH OPTION AFTER DELAYING IT UNNECESSARILY.

CHQ HAS BEEN CONTINUOUSLY PURSUING THE ISSUE AS EVEN AFTER OUR STRONGLY WORDED LETTER AND REMINDER THEREOF, CORPORATE OFFICE WAS RELUCTANT TO ISSUE THE CLARIFICATION. INSTEAD, MAY BE DUE TO FALSE PRESTIGE, ASKED THE CIRCLES TO ISSUE NECESSARY CLARIFICATIONS. ACCORDINGLY SOME CIRCLES, STARTING WITH KERALA , ISSUED CIRCLE LEVEL CLARIFICATIONS. HOWEVER SOME OTHER CIRCLES LIKE RAJASTHAN, MP, CHHATTISGARH, PUNJAB ETC TOOK AN ADAMENT STAND TO THE EFFECT THAT THEY WILL ABIDE BY THE CORPORATE OFFICE LETTER DATED 07-07-2021. THIS SITUATION HAD CREATED AN UNWARRANTED DISCRIMINATION AMONG THE CIRCLES AND CONFUSION AND FRUSTRATION IN PENSIONERS. SO WE INTIMATED THE SITUATION TO THE CORPORATE OFFICE AND URGED FOR ISSUING CLARIFICATION BY CORPORATE OFFICE TO ENSURE A PAN INDIA STATUS. BSNLEU ALSO INTERVENED AND INSISTED FOR CLARIFICATION BY THE CORPORATE OFFICE.
KARNATAKA CIRCLE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING & DAVANGERE DISTRICT CONFERENCE.


Karnataka Circle Executive Committee meeting has been held successfully at Davangere on 06-08-2021. Com.Earanna, Circle President was in chair.
Com.Muddaiah, Circle Secretary presenting the report explained the issues of pension revision, medical benefits etc and the organisational advancement in the circle. The video clip from the General Secretary, Com.K G Jayaraj, covering almost all issues and the current status was played. Veteran leader and former AGS, Com.G G Patil spoke on the efforts being made by the CHQ for settlement of the genuine issues of the pensioners. He also replied to the queries raised by some of the District Secretaries and Circle Office bearers. Com.H C Prakash, AGS explained the benefits for the BSNL retirees migrating to CGHS. Coms.Tatapati, Circle Vice President and L D Durgad, ACS also addressed the CEC. The CEC members were mostly concerned with pension revision, non-payment of medical benefits, lack of sufficient number of wellness centers etc. Com. Earanna in his presidential address appealed all to do allout efforts to strengthen the organisation. With vote of thanks by Com.C G Annigere, Circle Treasurer the CEC came to an end.
Davangere district Conference.
The 6th District Conference of Davangere was also held at the same venue of the Circle Executive Committe Meeting on 06-08-2021. Com.B S Nadiger, District President presided over the conference. Com.Earanna presented the report and accounts. Coms.Muddaiha, Circle Secretary, G G Patil, Former AGS and H C Prakash, AGS guided and addressed the conference. Office Beraers were elected unanimously and the following are the important functionaries;
President : Com.S Suresh, District Secretary : Com.Earanna and Treasurer : Com.S Veerabhadrappa.
HISAR DISTRICT CONFERENCE HELD.


District Conference of Hisar, Haryana has been held physically with good participation of pensioners on 04-08-2021 at Kumbar Dharmasala, Hisar. Com. Dharam Chand , District President presided over the conference. Com.Kuldeep Singh, Circle Secretary inaugurated and explained the issues confronting the pensioners including pension revision, denial of medical benefits, restoration of IDA instalments, BSNL revival and the AUAB agitations. Circle Secretary appealed to stregthen AIBDPA at all levels basically enrolling more pensioners to our fold. A new set of office bearers were elected unanimously with the following important functionaries;
President : Com. Dharam Chand, District Secretary : Com. R N Solanki and Treasurer : Com. R K Sharma.
