NEW DISTRICT BRANCH OF PGM CN TRANS(NORTH), LUCKNOW FORMED UNDER, NTR, DELHI ON 01-10-2021.


NTR, DELHI Circle has formed a new District Branch of PGM CN TRANS(North), Lucnow on 01-10-2021. The meeting held in this connection at Lucknow was inauguarated by Com.R S Chauhan, AGS with a detailed speech covering the important issues including pension revision, denial of medical benefits for the last 4 years, roadblocks on revival of BSNL etc. Com.D P S Shishodia, Circle Secretary spoke on the organisational matters and the ongoing agitational programme. Office Bearers were elected unanimously with Com. Ram Kailash (President), Com,S B S Bhadauria (District Secreatary) and Com.S N Bajpayee (Treasurer)
GUJARAT CEC MEETING & OBSERVANCE OF WORLD ELDERS DAY HELD SUCCESSFULLY.


The Circle Executive Comittee Meeting of Gujarat was held at Ahmedabad on 01-10-2021. Com. N N Patel,Circle President presided over the meeting. Com.M B Chaniyara Circle Secretary and CHQ Organising Secretary welcomed all and spoke on World Elders Day and the call of TUI(P&R) to observe the Day as Sixth Struggle Day. Com.D K Bakutra, Circle Secretary, BSNLEU addressed the meeting and explained the current critical situation in BSNL. Com.M K Dave, Circle Convener, COC of BSNLEU,AIBDPA& BSNL CCWF spoke on the importance of the agitational program of COC on the 15 point Charter of Demands.Com.A U Singh, CHQ BSNLEU Vice President also addressed the CEC,
Com.M B Chaniyara, Circle Secretary presented the report and Com. A U Anjariya, Circle Treasurer submitted the accounts for the years 2019-20 and 2020-21 and were adopted after discussion.
The CEC decided to hold the Circle Conference at Junagadh in January, 2022. After the meeting the leaders called on the new Chief General Manager and greeted him with gift and bouquet.
WORLD ELDERS DAY HELD BEFITTINGLY ALL OVER THE COUNTRY.
TUI(P&R) had given a call to observe World Elders Day as the sixth Struggle Day on 01-10-2021 focusing the demand of a Decent and Dignified Life for the elders. Accordingly the call was endorsed by the three affiliated organisations of TUI(P&R), NCCPA, AIBDPA and AIPRPA. CHQ is happy to note that the Day has been observed in almost all the circles, in most of the places jointly with other pensioners organisations. Flag hoistings, demonstrations , meetings etc were held in various places braving Covid19 pandemic and inclement weather. In Tamil Nadu, a well represented webinar was held by the Circle NCCPA. CHQ heartily congratulate all the comrades for making it a memorable event.
NCCPA organised a National level Webinar at 4PM on 01-10-2021. Com. V A N Namboodiri, Patron, NCCPA predided. Com. A K Padmanabhan, Vice President, CITU delivered the keynote address and highlighted the point that the social security of the elders is cetainly linked with the social system being adopted in each country and the hope is the Struggle. Coms. Shiv Gopal Mishra, Secretary, NJCM (Staff Side), K K N Kutty, Secretary General, NCCPA, K G Jayaraj, General Secretary, AIBDPA, Com.Mohan, Tamil Nadu Circle General Secretary, AIPRPA and Pabitra Chakraborty, Deputy Secretary General, NCCPA spoke on the issues of the pensioners and the elders.
OBSERVE WORLD ELDERS DAY BEFITTINGLY ON 01-10-2021.
As already been intimated , we have to observe the World Elders Day at all levels in a befitting manner. The call for the observance was given well in advance by the TUI(P&R) to highlight the genuine demands of the elderly people; DECENT AND DIGNIFIED LIFE TO ALL THE ELDERS. Ensure decent pension, Medical Care, Housing, Potable water and Transport Facilities, Entertainment and Ensure Old Age pension to all the senior citizens.
NCCPA has organised a National Webinar at 4PM on 01-10-2021. Com.A K Padmanabhan, Vice President, CITU will present the keynote address. Coms. Shiv Gopal Mishra, V A N Namboodiri, K K N Kutty, K G Jayaraj, K Ragavendran etc will also address. All the CHQ Office Bearers, Circle Secretaries and District Secretaries are requested to join the programme. The link will be sent later.
District Branches are requested to observe the programme according to local conditions, jointly with other pensioners organisations as far as possible, by holding demonstration, meetings etc exhibiting placards, flags and banners. The photos be sent to CHQ and ensure media coverage also.
KARIM NAGAR DISTRICT BRANCH FORMED.

A new District Branch has been formed at Karim Nagar in Telangana Circle. Coms. D Shankar, CHQ Vice President, Ramachandradu, Circle Secretary and T Seshaiah, District Secretary, Hyderabad participated and addressed the meeting. The leaders explained the issues of the pensioners, crisis being faced by BSNL and the efforts and struggles of AIBDPA for settlement.
It is worth mentioning that a lady comrade, R. Sobharani has taken up the responsibility of District Secretary among the office bearers elected unanimously. Com. R Prathap (President) and Com.S Ramesh (Treasurer) are the other important functionaries. CHQ heartily congratulate Com.R Sobharani and her team and assures all the co-operation and help in the successful functioning of the district branch.
NEW DISTRICT BRANCH, CORE NETWORK TRANSMISSION EAST FORMED IN WEST BENGAL.
The first conference of ETR was held at Shibdas Banerjee Hall (Telephone Bhawan) on 25-09-2021. Coms. Asis Das and Biplab Das constituted the presidium and controlled the proceedings. Com.Imran Khan, District Secretary, BSNLEU inaugurated the conference. Coms.P K Modak, Branch Secretary and Debasish Chakraborty presented the report and accounts and were adopted after discussion. Com. Pijush Chakraborty summed up with an elaborate speech covering the recent developments and the ongoing agitational programmes of AUAB and Coordination Committee of BSNLEU, AIBDPA & BSNL CCWF. It was decided to upgrade the status of the branch to the Distrct. Coms. Asis Das (President) Samir Halder(District Secretary) and Debasish Chakraborty (Treasurer) are the important office bearers elected unanimously.

ANOTHER VIEW OF THE DHARNA ON 22-09-2021
The three days Dhrna at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi on 21,22,23 September, 2021 has been a morale booster to the employees and pensioners. The 10 point charter of demands including Pension Revision, Wage Revision, 30% SAB to BSNL recruited employees, Timely payment of salary, Immediate roll out of 4G services, Payment of Rs.39,000 cr by DOT has given a new hope to the employees and pensioners and they participated in large numbers and made the programme memorable.
CHQ had called upon our Delhi Circle and other nearby Circles to make suitable arrangements in consultation with the respective AUAB Units to ensure the participation of our members on all the three days. CHQ is happy that our Circles rose to the occasion and played a crucial role in making the programme a grand success. 256 Comrades from AIBDPA have taken part and the breakup figures are given here under;
