Comrades,

Today, 7th October 2026, BSNL/MTNL Pensioners observed black day in protest against the unilateral decision of the management to discontinue the settled right of Rs.1000/-per month towards medical allowance.

Massive protest demonstrations are organised before BSNL offices ,by wearing black badges throughout the country.

CHQ leaders and leaders of CBMPA addressed at different places urged the management to withdraw the order immediately and cautioned that any move to deny medical facilities would be resisted at any cost.

Today, on 1st October 2026, BSNL/MTNL PENSIONERS participated in hundreds in the protest demonstrations against stoppage of monthly medical allowances and demanding immediate withdrawal of the order dated 28-09-2026.

The online meeting of BSNL / MTNL Pensioners Associations held today, 29th September 2026, unanimously decided to organise serious protest actions against the anti-pensioner moves of the management.

Dear Comrades,

The BSNL Corporate Office order dated 28th September 2026 discontinuing the without-voucher payment of Rs. 1,000/- per month is highly condemnable.

The online meeting of BSNL / MTNL Pensioners Associations held today, 29th September 2026, unanimously decided to organise serious protest actions against the anti-pensioner moves of the management.

As an immediate response, mass protest demonstrations will be organised on 1st October 2026 – the day the management is celebrating as BSNL Day – in front of Corporate / Circle / BA Offices.

It is also decided to organise protest demonstrations wearing black badges on 7th October 2026. The future course of action will be discussed in the next meeting.

BSNL / MTNL Pensioners Associations.

Dear Comrades,

At the dawn of 2026, BSNL / MTNL pensioners faced the nefarious attack of linking payment of IDA / DR with the affordability of BSNL / MTNL, which was defeated by the united will of the pensioners.

The 12 All India Associations rose to the occasion and kicked back the foul play of the management.

The order issued by BSNL Corporate Office today curtailing our medical facilities is a new attack on our legitimate rights.

Discontinuation of the without-voucher payment of Rs. 1,000/- per month available to retired BSNL employees and their eligible dependent family members cannot be tolerated.

Further, it is reliably learnt that the management is contemplating stopping payment of indoor treatment bills also.

Hence, we request all All India Associations to converge to a common platform so that we can fight it out jointly as was done in the case of the attempt to freeze IDA / DR.
