Protest day on 7th Sept 2011.

AIBDPA has decided to join the protest demonstration on 7.9.2011 aganist the unilateral decision of the management to curtail the benifits of the employees.

  1. Freezing of leave encashment on LTC
  2. Stoppage of medical allowance(without voucher)
  3. Stoppage of LTC

Join the programme along with BSNLEU and make it a grand success.

 

AIBDPA Maharastra Circle Formed

The Circle Union of all India BSNL-DOT Association of Maharastra was formed on 23rd August, 2011 in the well attended Convention held at RTTC Conference Hall, Pune. The convention was presided over by Com. N.K. Nallawade, Circle President, BSNLEU.

Com. V.A.N. Namboodiri, President, BSNLEU, and adviser AIBDPA, inaugurated the convention. He explained the charter of demands of the BSNL-DOT Pensioners and the programme of action decided by the central executive committee meeting held at Kolkata on 18-19 August, 2011. He urged the comrades to strengthen the AIBDPA
so that the demands could be achieved.

Coms. Purushotham Gedam, Circle Secretary, BSNLEU, B.P.Petkar, AGS, AIBDPA, Gaikwad, President, SC/ST Sangatan and other leaders addressed.

The convention decided to form the circle union AIBDPA and elected Com. Subhash Bartakke as President and B.P. Petkar as Circle Secretary.

 

CEC Decides to hold protest day on Sept 19th

The central Executive Committe decides countrywide protest day on 19th September,2011 against delay in payment of pension revision benifits.CEC also decided ta campaign week followed by mass Dharna in Nov.2011 for settlement of anomaly in pension and other pending demands.

Grand Inaugural Session of 3rd CEC Meeting of AIBDPA held at Kolkata on 18th August’11

The
Central Executive Committee (CEC) meeting of AIBDPA started through an impressive
Inaugural cum Open Session held at Telecom Institute Hall, CTO, Kolkata on 18th
August’11. Apart from CEC Members and leaders of AIBDPA and sister
organizations, more than five hundred BSNL & DoT Pensioners attended the
Open Session. Com. A.K. Bhattacharjee, President, AIBDPA conducted the
proceedings.

In the
beginning, all leaders and members assembled outside the auditorium and Red
Flag of the Association has been hoisted by Com. A.K. Bhattacherjee. Leaders
placed floral tributes at the specially erected Martyrs’ Column amidst
thunderous slogans. Thereafter BSNLEU comrades of Bengal
presented some mass songs.

Veteran
Leader of the P&T and CGE employees’ movement as well as Chairman of the
Reception Committee, Com. Sisir Bhattacharjee delivered his welcome speech.

Com.
Sukomal Sen, Senior Vice-President of AISGEF inaugurated the CEC Meeting with
his elaborate and educative speech. He explained in details the attack on the
working class as well as pensioners all over the world by the forces of
neo-liberal globalization and the heroic resistance struggles against it. He
highlighted the need to intensify nationwide struggles to defeat the
anti-worker anti-pensioner PFRDA Bill pending in the Parliament. Com. Sen
strongly condemned the growing violent attack unleashed by the present West
Bengal State Govt. led by Ms. Mamata Banerjee against Left Front workers, Trade
Unions, small peasants, agricultural workers, students, women and democratic
people and called for full support from all parts of the country to defeat the
attack on democracy.

The
meeting was addressed by Com. V.A.N. Namboodiri (Advisor, AIBDPA), Com. K.G.
Jayaraj (General Secretary, AIBDPA), Com. R.L. Bhattacharjee (President,
NCCPA), Com. Shibshankar Roy (Jt. Convenor, 12 July Committee) and Com. Saibal
Sengupta (AGS/ BSNLEU). All the leaders in their speeches highlighted the
present critical national situation and stressed the need to build up united movement
to resist the onslaught. They also discussed in details the issues related to
pensioners as also saving BSNL. Com. A.K. Bhattacharjee, President extended
thanks to all. The large audience listened the speeches with rapt attention.

After the
Open Session, the CEC meeting started with Com. A.K. Bhattacharjee on the
chair. Com. K.G. Jayaraj, General Secretary, placed the Report on Activities
during the interim period and the accounts of the association. CEC Members has
started discussion, which will continue on 19 August’11.

3 rd CEC – Reception Committee Bullettin

3rd Central Executive Committee (CEC) Meeting of
All India BSNL DoT Pensioners Association
will be held at Kolkata on 18th & 19th
August, 2011, formal Notice for which has already been issued by Com. K.G.
Jayaraj, General Secretary, AIBDPA on 20.07.2011.

 

BSNL Co-ordination Committee (West Bengal) comprising of 10 Circle Unions of BSNLEU, AIBDPA &
AICCWF has taken the responsibility with utmost pleasure to host the CEC
meeting  in a befitting manner
commensurate with the tradition of militant Trade Union movement of Bengal.

 

 

A strong Reception Committee with veteran leader Com Sisir Bhattacharjee as
Chairman and Com A.K. Bhattacharjee (President, AIBDPA) as Advisor has
been formed in the extended meeting of the Co-ordination Committee held on 20th
July’11. Other Office Bearers are Working President – Com. Supriya Mitra, Joint
Secretaries – Com. Susanta Ghosh & Com. Mihir Dasgupta, Secretary (Finance)
– Com. Sahabuddin Siddiqui. Veteran leaders of the telecom movement and leaders
of sister organizations are associated as Advisors/ Vice Presidents. All Circle
Secretaries and other prominent leaders of the constituents of the
Co-ordination Committee are also in the Reception Committee in various
capacities. The Reception Committee has started work to make the session a
grand success.

National Convention against PFRDA bill

A very successful National Convention, against the PFRDA Bill ( privatisastion of pension ) was held at New Delhi . Among others, the convention is addressed by Com. M.K Pandhe, Com Basudev Acharya MP and Com. Tapan Sen , MP,General Secretary ,CITU.
