AIC APPROVES IMPORTANT CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENTS

The All India Conference held at Kannur on 6th and 7th February,2013 has approved certain important constitutional amendments.

The major amendments are furnished below

1.Provision for formation of Area/Branch
committees under the District Committees

2.Quota share of District unit enhanced to 40%,reducing CHQ Quota to 30%.

3.The number of Circle Organising Secretaries shall be 6 instead of 5.

Souvenir Released

The SOUVENIR being brought out to comemmorate the great occasion of the 1st triennial National Conference of AIBDPA held at Kannur on 6,7,February,was formally released by Shri.T.Padmanabhan,great short story writter and renowned litteratuer.The function held at 12 noon on 7th February was presided over by Com.K.G.Jayaraj,General Secretary and Com.P.V.Chadrasekharan,Patron was the reciepient of the Souvenir.
Com.V.A.N.Namboodiri,Advisor honoured Shri.T.Padmanabhan,presenting an attractive memento and Shawl.

ALL INDIA CONFERENCE CONCLUDES WITH BIG ENTHUSIASM

The first triennial All India Conference of AIBDPA has concluded most successfully in Kannur with big enthusiasm to the entire delegates participated on 6th and 7th February,2013.
The conference approved a resoution on policy and programme unanimously and has decided a 3 phased programme
of action on the pending demands.
The conference has unanimously elected the office bearers for the next term of three years.

The conference also adopted resolutions on supporting the two days strike on 20,21 February,2013 by the central trade unions
and endorsed by all the federations and protesting against attack on trade union activists including BSNLEU and AIBDPA by the
goons of Trinamool Congress in West Bengal.
All the participants congratulated and thanked the Reception Committee for the excellent arrangements which also contributed
in making the conference historical and memorable.

ROUSING START TO THE ALL INDIA CONFERENCE

1st  All India Conference of All India BSNL – DOT pensioners Association inaugurated in Kannur.

1st Triennial All India conference of All India BSNL – DOT pensioners Association was inaugurated at Navaneethan Auditorium ( Moni Bose Nagar) at Kannur, Kerala by Com. Basudeb Acharya, MP on 06.02.2013. in his inaugural speech he dealt in detail about the neo – liberal policies of the UPA – II Government and the anti people anti workers policies continuing till 1991 and the miseries of common people & working class of our country. Com. K.G.Jayaraj, GS, AIBDPA. Sri. K.C.G.K.Pillai, Director (Finance), BSNL, Com. V.A.N.Namboothiri, All India President, BSNLEU, Com. P.Abhimanue, GS, BSNLEU, Com. P.S.Parameswaran, All India Vice President, NCCP, Com. C.P.Shobhana, All India Vice President, NFPE, were spoken in the inaugural session. Com. A.K.Bhattacharya, All India President, AIBDPA presided over the function.

Com. M.Prakashan Master, Chairman, Reception Committee, welcomed the delegates and dignateries of the AIC, and Com. K.Kunhiraman, General Convenor proposed vote of thanks.

Com. P.V.Chandrasekharan, All India Patron hoisted the union flag.

Delegates paid respectful homage to all the martyrs.

Com. K.G.Jayarag, GS, AIBDPA presented the resolution to the martyrs and Com. S.N.Sharma read out the condolence resolution.

The meeting started with the welcome song sung by the BSNL Employees and workers.

Resolution

The conference passed a resolution to consider that it is the burden duty of the pensioners also to join the workers of the country to make the 48 Hrs strike on February 20th and 21st 2013 a resounding success and milestone in the history of struggles in the country.

All India Conference of AIBDPA proclamation procession

A colourful and attractive proclamation procession (vilambara jatha) was
held in connection with the All India Conference of AIBDPA,at Kannur on 4th
February,2013.It was indeed a cultural feast to the local people of Kannur
who watched it curiously from both side of the streets.The procession was
lead by leaders of the Reception Committee including Com.M.Prakasan
Master,Chairman,Com.K.Kunhiraman,General
Convenor,Com.P.V.Unnikrishnan,Working Chairman and
Com.P.Manoharan,Convenor.Com.P.V.Chandrasekharan,All India Patron and
Com.K.G.Jayaraj,General Secretary who are staying in Kannur since 31st
January also participated.The Procession was started from the State Bank of
India premises,concluded at the Stadium Corner where a meeting was
held.Com.M.Prakasan Master presided and Com.K.G.Jayaraj made a brief speech.

AIC-KANNUR ALL SET TO HOST

Kannur,the historical city in Kerala,known for its progressive credentials,is all set to host the first triennial All India Conference of All India BSNL DOT Pensioners Association.
The Reception Committee is involved in the last minutes fine tuning of the arrangements.
On 2nd February,a press conference was held in which Com.P.V.Chandrasekharan,All India Patron,Com.K.G.Jayaraj,General Secretary,Com.M.Prakasan Master,Chairman,Reception Committee,Com.K.Kunhiraman,General Convenor,Com.P.V.Unnikrishnan,Working Chairman and Com.P.Manoharan,Convenor participated.
The leaders focussed the important issues which are certain to be discussed in the conference and sought the cooperation of both the print and visual media in giving wide coverage of the conference

SEMINAR HELD SUCCESSFULLY

The seminar on “Contributory pension and the challenges” was held on 31/01/2013, 5pm at Stadium Corner, Kannur. The seminar conducted in connection with 1st Trinial All India conference of AIBDPA was inaugurated by Com. K.N.Ravindranath, Vice president, CITU, Kerala with an apt and educate speech.

Com. P.V.Chandrashekaran, All in patron, AIBDPA presided. Com. C.P.Sathosh Kumar, AITUC, Com.T.I.Sudhakaran (GS), CGPA, Com. Premkumar, FSETO, Com. K.Sudheer, SNEA, Com. K.J.Sebastian, AIBSNLEA, Com. K.Mohanan, BSNLEU, Com. N.Sahadevan, Confederation of CGE&W spoke.

Com. K.Kunhiraman, General Convenor, Reception Committee welcomed and Com. P.Manoharan, Convenor, Reception Committee proposed vote of thanks.

Anomaly in pension – bsnl asks circle to provide information sought by dot

Yes,our continued efforts have some effects on the most burning issue of anomaly in pension

to those retired within ten months of formation of BSNL. During his stay in Delhi in December/

January, Com.K.G.Jayaraj,general secretary and Com.V A N Namboodiri,our advisor had met a number

of top officers in DOT including Shri.S C.Misra,member(services), Ms.Sadhana Dikshit,member(finance),

Ms.Rita Teaotia, joint secretary and urged them to settle this long pending case with out furthur

delay and they had assured us to consider the case.

Now Bsnl has asked for certain information from circles regarding the issue as sought by DOT.

We have got some reservations on this and will be writing to DOT. However it is a welcome move,

that the things have started moving.
