INFLATION RISES UP TO 10.91%

Contrary to the claim and expectations of the central government, retail inflation continued its relentless upward move for the fifth consecutive month to 10.91% in February, fuelled primarily by higher prices of essential commodities such as vegetables, edible oils, cereals and protein based items.

CPI inflation has remained sticky at double digits for three months in a row.
Providing no relief to the common man as far as food commodities are concerned, inflation in cereals category was 17.04% while protien rich items such as eggs, meat and fish turned more expensive by 15.72% February.Alongside, while inflation in oils and fats segment stood higher at 14.56%,pulses were costlier by 12.39% and sugar also turned dearer by 12.10% on a year on year basis.

As per official data, retail inflation in urban areas inched upto 10.84% in February from 10.73% in January while CPI inflation for rural areas stood pegged at 11.01% during the month,up from 10.88% in the previous month.

ACTUAL PRICE RISE IS MUCH HIGHER THAN THE OFFICIAL DATA AND THE WORST SUFFERER IS THE COMMON PEOPLE.

WHAT AN IDEA!

The Delhi High Court had ordered repatriation of ITS officers, still remaining unabsorbed in BSNL,within six weeks.
DOT issued an order on 12th March recalling the ITS officers, refusing to be absorbed in BSNL.
Before the ink is dried up,another order was issued granting deputation to the same ITS officers in BSNL.What an ideal way of implementing the High Court order!
This is nothing but contempt of court.

Com.Hugo Chavez was a valiant fighter against the imperialism. His pro poor policies and welfare schemes for the common people made him the most popular leader of Venezuela. This had its impact in other latin American countries also and the people of many countries elected progressive parties, opposed to the neo liberal policies,as their rulers.
