Letter to Secretary, DOP, regarding delay in disbursement of IDA
AIBDPA/POSTAL/2013 December 05, 2013
To,
Ms. Padmini Gopinath,
Secretary,
Department of Posts,
Dak Bhawan,
New Delhi – 110 001
Dear Madam,
Sub: – Delay in disbursement of IDA/DR through post offices – reg.
Ref: – This association letter No.AIBDPA/POSTAL/2013 dated March 20, 2013.
A kind reference is invited to the letter cited above regarding delay in the disbursement of IDA for BSNL pensioners and DR for DOT pensioners who are getting the same through post offices.
Your prompt action on the letter is much appreciated and some of the postal circles have issued directives for prompt payment of IDA/DR to the BSNL DOT pensioners, copies of which were endorsed to this association also. There have been improvement in some circles while complaints are still more from circles like Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Bihar, West Bengal etc.
As suggested in my letter referred to above, the permanent solution of the issue would be installation of Centralised Pension Processing Centre in the postal net work, as had been done by most of the banks. I hope you will take necessary action in this regard.
Thanking you,
Yours faithfully
[K.G. Jayaraj]
General Secretary
