WFTU CONDEMNS BARBARIC ACTS OF RACISM IN UNITED STATES.

The World Federation of Trade Unions condemns the neo-fascist acts of the ultra right, lead by such organized groups as the Ku Klux Klan and other militia neo Nazi movements.

Working class and progressive allies have fought for the full length of the history of the United States against legal Slavery for over 350 years; only ending in 1865. The technical end of Slavery did not end the Corporate use their militias to continue slavery conditions in industrial areas. The brutal corporate violence at the Haymarket Square and Ludlow massacres took place at the same time Black workers were and still are subjected to murders and lynching.

The recent KKK inspired killings in South Carolina are totally connected to the police killings also in South Carolina, Ferguson [Missouri], Staten Island New York, and elsewhere. The KKK is the open face of the thousands of militia groups across the U.S.

This is the 20th anniversary of the ultra right domestic violence in the US which took place in Oklahoma City where 168 people were killed by a neo fascist bomber.

The US Justice Department has rarely addressed all of these acts of domestic terror conducted by police departments and connected to anti-trade union/racist corporations.

The WFTU calls on all pro working class/trade union and progressive forces to demand a full inquiry and justice with new government laws against these militias and corporate sponsored domestic terrorists.

The people and the working class should, with their action and struggle, isolate such phenomena, expose and weaken them in daily life, in the workplaces, in the social organizations of any kind.

GREEK GOVERNMENT SUPPORTS THE POLICIES OF ISRAEL.

The official visit to Israel of the Minister of Defense of Greece of ultra-rightwing, Panos Kammenos, on Sunday 19 July shows the dangerous stance of the Greek Government of the SYRIZA-ANEL parties.

Further, the visit of the Minister of Defense takes place a few days after the official visit to Israel by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece, N. Kotzias on 4 July during which he met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Prime Minister of Israel, Netanyahu.

With his latest visit, the Minister of Defense of Greece committed to the intensification of the military cooperation and the joint training and exercises of the Greek Army side by side with the Army of Israel, an army which has his hands painted red by the blood of thousands of Palestinians. Also he committed to the intensification of the cooperation between the two states in the framework of the inter-imperialist competition and the geostrategic plots in the South-Eastern Mediterranean Sea.

The World Federation of Trade Unions, with its stable and consistent expression of internationalist solidarity in favor of the Palestinian people and against the barbaric Israeli occupation which continues with the support of the Governments of USA, demands from the Government of Greece to end its intense military cooperation with Israel.

The WFTU considers the intensification of the cooperation between Greece and Israel not only dangerous for the Palestinian people who are under daily suffering from the Israeli Occupation but also dangerous for the general peace around the Mediterranean Sea. Mediterranean Sea is threatened by the geostrategic competition and the plots of the imperialist forces for higher share from the exploitation of the wealth-producing resources.

The military relation of Greece with Israel not only undermines the Palestinian People but also the people of Lebanon, of Syria, of the whole North Africa and promotes the plots of the imperialists for the so called New Middle East.

The WFTU demands from the Greek Government to vote in the Greek Parliament the recognition of the Palestinian State with East Jerusalem as its capital in the boarders of 1967, to officially denounce the Israeli Occupation and to end its military cooperation and the joint training with Israel.

Also, the WFTU demands the cancellation of the plans of offering of a Greek Island to NATO, which it wants to use as large military base.

Further serious questions and concern are raised by the announcements of the Government of SYRIZA-ANEL that they will start on September a Campaign of “Religious Diplomacy” in the Middle East and North Africa. It is most likely that this role has been assigned to them by the USA.

We call them to stop all these dangerous games.

RD Congo Delegation participated in the Demostration of PAME and WFTU against the new memorandum of SYRIZA-ANEL. Amundala Jean Willy Ramazani, WFTU coordinator in RD Congo, Joseph Lomani Alumba and Felix Kanange Ka Kabeya united their voices with the voices of the workers and youth of Greece: “Supporting monopolies or the needs of the people – no other way exists. Fight Now!” was the main slogan of the demonstration.

RAJASTHAN CIRCLE CONDUCTED TWO DAYS RELAY HUNGER FAST WITH MASS PARTICIPATION.

In Rajasthan there was a unprecedented response to the two days Relay Hunger Fast on 21-22,July, 2015. The fast was held before the CCA office, Jhalana, Doongri,Jaipur with huge participation of pensioners. It started at 10 AM and Com.K.P.Sharma, CHQ Org Secretary and Circle President inaugurated the fast. Com.M.K.Nagpal, Circle Secretary explained the demands in detail. Coms. J.P.Sharma (Sawai Madhopur),  Bhanwar Lal Kochar (Kota), J.P.Gupta (Alwar), S.L.Ojha and R.C.Verma addressed.

On the second day, Com.Ashok Pareek, Circle Secretary, BSNLEU inaugurated the fasting dharna. Com.S.K.Sharma, General Secretary, Central Govt Pensioners Association, Com.R.P.Sharma, President, CGPA, Com.R.K.Katara, President Rajasthan Pensioners Samaj, R.B.Gupta, Secretary, Pensioners Samaj Com.Pyare Lal ,Dist Secretary,Kota, Com. G.N.Sharma  and Com. Chandan Lal (Sawai Madhopur) spoke.

TWO DAYS RELAY HUNGER FAST SUCCESSFULLY HELD AT CCA OFFICE , SHILLONG JOINTLY BY NE-1 & NE-2 CIRCLES.

North East 1 and 2 Circle Branches have jointly conducted the two days relay hunger fast successfully at CCA office, Shillong on 21-22, July,2015.

Coms. Gopal Das and M.B.Singh senior leaders spoke in detail about the twin issues of 78.2% IDA merger and Restoration of medical Allowance raised and the efforts taken by CHQ to settle the demands. A host of leaders also addressed the hunger fast on both days.

100 ITS OFFICERS REPATRIATED TO DOT/CCA FROM BSNL- WHETHER IT IS FINAL OR A DRAMA AGAIN?

It is understood that 100  unabsorbed ITS officers, who are on deputation to BSNL, have now been transferred/repatriated to DOT and posted in CCA, on the basis of the Delhi High Court directive and consequent decision of BSNL C.O. One of the demands of the Forum has been that the unabsorbed ITS officers should be repatriated to DOT, if they are not willing to get absorbed in BSNL. BSNLEU, SNEA and AIBSNLEA had approached the Delhi High Court in this respect.
