IDBI PRIVATISATION- EMPLOYEES TO STRUCK WORK ON 28-03-2016

 

The 32,000 odd employees of the IDBI Bank will go on a one day strike on 28th March 2016 against government move to privatise the bank. The privatisation move is part of the government’s anti-PSU policy. The government has recently started an anti-PSU Bank move vigorously. AIBDPA extend full solidarity to the IDBI employees.

TAMIL NADU CIRCLE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETNG HELD AT MADURAI ON 18-03-2016.

The Circle Executive Committee meeting has been held on 18-03-2016 at the temple city of Madurai. Com.S.Mohandoss, Circle President presided over the meeting. On behalf of the reception committee, Com. M.Kathiresan welcomed. Com.K.G.Jayaraj, General Secretary inaugurated the CEC with a detailed speech covering the international, national situations, the decisions of the historic Tirupati All India Conference and present position with regard to the 78.2% IDA merger. He stressed the need to strengthen the organization at all levels by widening the membership base and enlisting more subscribers to Tele Pensioner. Com.C.K.Narasimhan, Circle Secretary presented the report for the intervening period and the interim accounts. All the district Secretaries and office bearers participated in the discussion. Com.K.Kaliprasad, CHQ Org Secretary also addressed. The CEC decided to implement the decisions of the AIC most successfully including the membership campaign, campaigning in the 7th referendum for BSNLEU etc.

MADURAI DISTRICT CONFERENCE HELD SUCCESSFULLY ON 17-03-2016.

 

The 3rd biennial district conference of Madurai was held successfully on 17-03-2016 under the presidentship of com. Mahboobjan, District President. Com. K.G.Jayaraj, General Secretary inaugurated the open session and congratulated the Madurai comrades for building the organization against all odds and for hosting Circle Executive Committee meeting on 18th inst. General Secretary explained in detail the issues being faced by the BSNL DoT pensioners and the ensuing membership verification in BSNL. Com.S.Sooriyan, District Secretary, BSNLEU, Com.K.Daivendran, District Seceretary, SNEA, Com.John Borsier, Circle Vice President, BSNLEU, Com.N.Sonaimuthu, District Secretary, TNTCWU and Com.C.K.Narsimhan, Circle Secretary, AIBDPA addressed. The subject session was inaugurated by Com.S.Mohandoss, CHQ Vice President and Circle President. Com.K.Kaliprasad, CHQ Org.Secreatry and some of the neighboring district secretaries also addressed. The biennial report and accounts presented by Coms. N.C.Athiswaran and M.Kathiresan District Secretary and Treasurer respectively were adopted after discussion.

Office bearers were elected unanimously with Com.Mahboobjan (President) Com.N.C.Athiswaran (District Secetary) and Com.M.Kathiresan (treasurer).

Arrears of tax at Rs. 8.9 lakh crore in 2014-15!

  

The arrears of tax to be collected is increasing from year to year. Rs. 8.9 lakh crores is the tax arrears to be collected in 2014-15. It is to be noted that out of this, Rs. 7 lakh crore is direct taxes. The CAG has severely criticised for not collecting these.

it is understood that most of these arrears are from the big business and the corporates. Not only cheating the banks as in the case of Vijay Mallya, but also cheating the government. The government machinery is  partly responsible for this ugly situation.
