Dear Comrade,
BSNLEU has decided to observe “Victory Day” on 27.07.2016 for achieving 78.2% IDA fixation and abolition of 60:40 condition. CHQ calls upon all the AIBDPA units to join their respective BSNLEU units to observe the Victory Day jointly.

Pension revision- Meeting with CMD BSNL
Com.VAN Namboodiri, Advisor, AIBDPA met Shri Anupam Shrivastava, CMD BSNL today and discussed about the need for the Pension revision of BSNL absorbees. He requested that BSNL to take up the issue with the government so that whenever there is a wage revision, pension is also revised along with out going to the cabinet for approval. FORUM LEADERS TAKE UP REVISION OF PENSION WITH COMMUNICATIONS MINISTER.
Forum leaders called on Shri Manoj Sinha, Hon’ble Minister of State for Communications.
The members of the Core Committee of the Forum, viz., com. P. Abhimanyu, Convenor, com. Prahlad Rai, GS, AIBSNLEA and com. K. Sebastin, GS, SNEA, called on Shri Manoj Sinha, Hon’ble Minister of State for Communications. The representatives welcomed the MoS(C) by offering bouquet and shawl. They made a brief presentation to the Hon’ble MoS(C) on the efforts being taken by the Forum of BSNL Unions and Associations for the revival of BSNL. They explained about the “Service With A Smile” programme of the Forum, currently being implemented by the Non-Executives and Executives of BSNL. Further, the representatives sought the intervention of the Hon’ble MoS(C) to ensure the next pension revision for the BSNL retirees. They also requested that pension contribution by BSNL should be calculated based on actual basic pay and not on the maximum of the payscale. The Hon’ble MoS(C) told the Forum representatives to give these issues in writing, and assured that they would be taken care of.

NCCPA DHARNA HELD AT JAIPUR ON 11-07-2016
AIBDPA and CGPA jointly organised a well participated Mass Dharna on 11-07-2016 at Jaipur, Rajastan as per the call of NCCPA. Com.S.K. Sharma, General Secretary spoke elaborately exposing the attitude of the central government in declaring the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission recommendations without considering any of the modifications demanded by NJCA. Com. K.P.Sharma, Circle President and Com. M.K.Nagpal, Circle Secretary, AIBDPA also addressed the Dharna. A resolution was passed and sent to the Finance Minister.
CHENNAI SOUTH WEST DISTRICT BRANCH FORMED
A new District Branch , South West District Association,under Chennai Telephones Circle has been formed. The meeting held for this purpose at Chromepet on 14-07-2016 was inaugurated by Com. K. Govindaraj, Asst General Secretary and Circle Secretary, BSNLEU. Com. B.Subramanian, Circle President presided over the meeting. Com. Gthe followingt .. S. Narasimhan, Circle Secretary welcomed and Com. N. V. N. Balakrishnan ,Circle Treasurer proposed vote of thanks. Office bearers were elected with important functionaries.

MEETING WITH THE NEW COMMUNICATIONS MINISTER
Com.V.A.N.Namboodiri, Advisor, AIBDPA met the new Communications Minister Shri Manoj Sinha and congratulated him and paid respects. He mentioned about the role of the unions in the improvement of BSNL services and gave some suggestions also in the matter. He thanked for the settlement of 78.2% IDA pension fixation by the government. He further requested that the pension revision issue of the BSNL retirees with out going to the Cabinet needs to be settled early.
Com. Namboodiri met the Minister along with NFPE leaders Com. Giriraj Singh, President and Com. R.N.Parashar Secretary General, who were also there to meet the Minister. They congratulated the Minister and focused the issues of the Postal Services and how it can be made profitable. Certain operational requirement were also mentioned by them.
The Communications Minister patiently heard all and assured that he will study all issues and will do the needful.
AIBDPA meets Secretary, DOT, Member (Services) and Member (Finance)
Com. V.A.N.Namboodiri, Advisor, AIBDPA today, 14th July 2016, met Shri J.S.Deepak, Secretary, DOT and thanked him for the settlement of the 78.2% IDA fixation as also getting withdrawn the condition of 60: 40 in payment of pension. He also spoke about the need to ensure pension revision for the BSNL retirees, whenever there is wage revision for BSNL employees, with out the need to approach the cabinet. He agreed to look in to the matter.
Com. Namboodiri also met Smt. Annie Moraes, Member (Finance), DOT and thanked her for the effort in settling the above issue. He asked the Member (Finance) to ensure that the order on 78.2% is issued without further delay. She said that the file is with her and the orders will be issued at the earliest.
Com.Namboodiri, Advisor, AIBDPA met Shri N.K.Yadav, Member (Services), and thanked him also. The issue of Pension revision of BSNL retirees was discussed in detail. He assured that the matte will be seriously attended to. He stated that the pension revision issues of both MTNL and BSNL are pending.
AIBDPA is trying to gt the 78.2% IDA pension fixation orders at the earliest.
