CHQ DONATED Rs.10.000 TO MARUTI SUZUKI WORKERS UNION,MANESAR IN HARYANA.

The Maruti-Suzuki workers of the Manesar plant are on agitation since 2011 against sheer exploitation of the workers in the name of contract worker system and for trade union rights.During the struggle, a fire was broke out and a manager was killed. Thereupon the powerful management in connivance with the Haryana government let loose a rein of terror. Hundreds of workers, including the union leaders, were arrested and brutally assaulted by the police. They were jailed without any bail for years. Now, the sessions court has convicted 13 workers for life imprisonment and another four for 5 years imprisonment, even without a shred of evidence.

The workers are continuing their struggle and a day of Solidarity was observed throughout the country on 5th April,2017, called by all the central trade unions. They have to give financial assistance to the families of the jailed workers and also continue the legal battle, by filing appeal against the unjust and cruel verdict of the sessions court.

Considering the plight of these workers for years, AIBDPA decided to help them at this time of distress. Accordingly, an amount of Rs. 10,000 was donated to Maruti Suzuki Workers Union on 03-04-2017.

It is reported in Economic Times that Reliance Jio will register a loss of Rs 19,600 crore in 2017-18 and Rs 11,500 crore in 2018-19.

Jio has got about 100 million customers. It has got a deep pocket and  is trying with all the help from the government to ride over all other telecom companies. Once the other companies are put down, then the charges will be increased and the loss will be made up.

Of course, corporates have no respect for law and ethics. Profit is their only motive. And Reliance tops the list.

FARMER SUICIDES AND MALNUTRITION DEATHS GALORE; BUT INDIAN BILLIONAIRES ARE RICHER BY Rs1.28 LAKH CRORE.

The data Released by Bloomberg Billionaires Index, reveals that the Indian billionaires have added a whooping Rs.1.28 lakh crore to their assets in the financial year 2016-17.

Mukesh Ambani annexed the maximum , $6 billion to his personal wealth to retain the tag of India’s richest with a networth of $28.7 billion.

The second positioned L.N.Mittal has $15.9 billion. He too added $1.5 billion to his networth, growing 10.4% over last year.

Dilip Shanghvi, the Pharmaceuticals leader is in the third position with personal wealth of $14.7 billion. He has addedn $1.9 billion to his kitty, growing 14.8%.

So, this is one ‘shining’ side of our country for which the ruling class is quite proud of.

But what is the other side. ?

Farmers are committing suicide as they do not get any help when in distress. Malnutrition deaths of children and pregnant women are increasing alarmingly. Unemployment of the educated youth is also growing. Thousands of villages in our country are yet to be electrified and crores of people are still to be provided with drinking water and toilets.

But the central government is still trying to deny the workers of their legitimate rights by amending the labour laws , factories act etc to enable the corporates tx exploit the workers further and add to their whooping profits.

THIS IS CAPITALISM; RATHER CRONY CAPITALISM.

Government totally failed in creating new jobs – says Government’s Employment Survey.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government claim that India is the fastest growing economy in the world. But, the government has totally failed in creating new jobs. Prime Minister’s slogans like “Make in India”, “Skill India”, etc., have miserably failed to create new jobs. The Quarterly Employment Survey, conducted by the Labour Bureau of the government of India, shows that only 12,000 jobs are created by the Manufacturing Sector in India, during the six month period between 01-04-2016 and 01-10-2016. The total jobs created during this 6 month period, by 8 key sectors, viz., Manufacturing, Construction, Trade, Transport, IT/BPO, Education, Health and Accommodation was only 1,10,000. Besides, after becoming prime minister, Narendra Modi has made 56 foreign trips and has visited 45 countries, to bring foreign investment. But, the above mentioned Survey shows that growth in capital formation has also steeply gone down in 2016-17 compared to 2015-16. The growth in capital formation was 6.1% in 2015-16 and it has come down to 0.6% in 2016-17. The BJP accused that during the UPA rule, the economy was paralysed due to the inefficiency of the government. But, what the above figures show? The BJP is expert only in creating communal hatred, but not in creating jobs and solve the problem of the unemployed youth.

Palestine should be recognised as an independent nation – Arab Summit.

Despite the full support of the United Nations and massive majority in it for grant of recognition to Palestine, US continues its support to Israel and against the interests of Palestine.

US and Israel should accept the decision of UN and bring peace in the area instead of creating conflicts. India should continue  its time tested stand in support of Palestine, instead of keeping silence on the issue.

Attacks on foreigners – Are Indians becoming intolerant?

India had always from old times welcomed foreigners who have come as tourists, traders, students etc. They were respected and highly regarded. After India got independence, the same hospitality continued.

It is unfortunate and condemnable that incidents had been reported of Africans and Chinese nationals having  been attacked. In Delhi, many incidents have been reported of North East people being attacked and harassed. There seems to be a racial colour. Such attacks brings a bad name to the country.

India has been strongly protesting against the racial attacks on its citizens in Australia, USA etc. There can not be double standards. Government of  India should strongly deal with the racial attacks in India and the culprits punished.

It is to be remembered that India is a secular democratic republic and no racial discrimination should be allowed. Any such move from any side should be strongly dealt with.
