Shri.Thol Thirumavalavan, Loka Sabha MP from Chidambaram met by AIBDPA delegation on 24-01-2020.


The delegation consisting Coms.C.K.Narasimhan, Circle President, S.Nataraja, Circle Treasurer, P Manickamurthy, Circle Vice President, S Muthukumarasamy, Asst Circle Secretary,I M Mathiyalagan, District Secretary, Cuddalore, Kothandam, District Secretary, Chennai Telecom and A Annamalai, Asst District Secretary, Cuddalore met the MP on 24-01-2020 and handed over copy of the memorandum on Pension Revision being submitted to the Prime Minister.The MP assured the delegation all possible help for early settlement of the issue.

INDIA GOES DOWN IN DEMOCRACY INDEX ALSO.

In almost all global social index India is faring badly. Now, in democracy index also India has dropped 10 ranks in the 2019 global index. India’s overall score fell from 7.23 to 6.9 on a scale of 0-10 and it is the lowest since the index began in 2006. The Economist Intelligence Unit’s Democracy  index report was released on 22nd January, 2020.

The report titled ” A year of democartic setbacks and popular protests” mentions the revocation of Jammu & Kashmir special status, NRC and the Citizenship Amendment Act. The Index also categorises India under “Flawed Democracies” along with USA, countries that hold free and fair elections but have significant weaknesses in aspects of democracy, such as problems in governance, an underdeveloped political culture and low level of political participation.

According to the report, there are only 22 “full democracies” as compared to 54 authoritarian regimes. 165 countries and two territories were analysed and in the Asia, Australia region, India ranks eighth behind Taiwan and Timor-Leste.

HABRA BRANCH CONFERENCE HELD ON 22-01-2020.

Com.Pijush Chakraborty, Circle Secretary inaugurated Habra Branch Conference under Kolkata District at Barasat on 22nd January, 2020. Com.Sisir Dutta, President presided. Com.A K Nandan, District Secretary also addressed.

Coms. Sisir Dutta, Nirmal Kumar Biswas and Gopal Seal were elected President, Secretary and Treasurer, respectively.

BHARUCH (GUJARAT) MP SHRI.MANSUKHBHAI VASAVA MET BY AIBDPA BHARUCH DELEGATION ON 23-01-2020 AND HANDED OVER COPY OF MEMORANDUM ON PENSION REVISION BEING SUBMITTED TO THE PRIME MINISTER.

A 10 member delegation of Bharuch District Branch led by Coms.N S Vasava, District Secrertary,J B Mangnadia, District President, D B vasava, Treasurer and V H Haldaria on 23-01-2020  had a nice meeting with Bharuch Loka Sabha MP Shri. Mansukhbhai Vasava and had a discussion on pension revision of BSNL absorbed retirees. A copy of the memorandum being submitted to the Prime Minister was also given to him. The MP responded very positively and assured necessary action on the issue.

Shri. Adoor Prakash, Loka Sabha MP, Attingal received AIBDPA, Thiruvananthapuram delegation cordially and discussed the issue of pension revision . He was given a copy of the memorandum being submitted to the Prime Minister and the MP took it seriously and assured necessary action on his part. The delegation was led by Com.R Muraleedharan Nair, AGS along with Coms.C Ramachandran, District Secretary and N Vikraman Nair, District President.

Kallakurichi MP Shri.Gowtham Sigamani was met by Cuddalore delegation consisting Coms. A Muthukumarasamy, ACS, I M Mathiyalagan, District Secretary, N Meganathan, District President and T Murthy, Branch Secretary, Cuddalore and discussed the issue of pension revision. A copy of the memorandum being submitted to the Prime Minister was handede over to him and the MP assured necessarry action.

SHRI. RAM KRIPAL YADAV, LOKA SABHA MP FROM PATLIPUTRA, BIHAR MET BY AIBDPA DELEGATION.

Ram Kripal Yadav, Loka Sabha MP from Patliputra on 19-01-2020 and brought to his notice the burning issue of pension revision of BSNL absorbed retirees due from 01-01-2017. They also gave him a copy of the memorandum being submitted to the Prime Minister on this issue. The MP immediately arranged to forward the memorandum to the Prime Minister for favourable consideration and the copy of the letter was given to the delegation then and there.
