Com. V A N Namboodiri, Advisor had a discussion with CMD, BSNL over telephone on 16-10-2020 on non-payment of medical bills, allowance and one time payment made to CGHS. Com. V A N reminded the CMD about his assurance last time that fund will be alloted after two months for payment to the retirees. But CMD replied that though it is correct that he had made such an assurance last time, the financial position of BSNL has not improved as expected and it may take another two, three months for payment of pending medical bills to the retirees. Com. VAN pointed out that BSNL is making payments to all others except the medical benefits of retirees to which CMD remained non-committal.

So it reveals the negative stand of the CMD towards the genuine issue of BSNL retirees even exposing the very credibility of the position he is holding. Now, we have no other alternative other than launching another phased programme of agitation.

It is with heavy heart, CHQ is reporting the unexpected sad demise of Com. D. Gopalan, District Secretary, Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu on 17-10-2020. Com. D. Gopalan was a sincere and committed leader who worked energetically for the advancement of our AIBDPA. He was also associated actively with NCCPA, CITU, CPI (M) etc. Com. D Goplan was admitted in the Government Hospital having been tested positive for Corona a few days ago. He was tested negative on 16-10-2020 and was expected to be dicharged on 17-10-2020. But his condition suddenly deteriorated in the morning of 17-10-2020 and breathed his last. CHQ pays respectful homage to the departed leader and conveys heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, Comrades and friends.

CHQ is saddened to report that Com.S A Tendulkar, Circle Advisor, Mumbai Telecom Factory has passed away on 16-10-2020. He was only 66 and was admitted in the Sion Hospital, Mumbai for Corona Virus infection. Com. Tendulkar was a matured and committed leader who has served in various capacities in BSNLEU including Circle Secretary, TF, Mumbai and CHQ Office Bearer . After retirement he took the initiative along with Com.S D Choudhary to form AIBDPA in Telecom Factory, Mumbai. The passing away of Com.S A Tendulkar is a great loss. AIBDPA pays respectful homage to the departed leader and conveys heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, friends and comrades.

CHQ is very much saddened to report that Ms. Rekha Singh, loving wife of Com. R S Sagar, Circle Secretary, ALTTC, Gaziabad has passed away on 11-10-2020. It is a great loss to Com.R S Sagar and his family.We share the grief of the family and convey heartfelt condolences to Com.R S Sagar and other family members.

The District Conference of Kadapa in Andhra Pradesh was held on 01-10-2020 at the office premises of GMTD, BSNL, Kadapa. Com. V Basha, Vice President controlled the proceedings.
