The central Cabinet on 12-09-2017 has approved the proposal for hiving off towers of BSNL and to form a separate tower company. This decision of the central government is another sinister move to weaken BSNL and eliminate it for the sake of the greedy private telecom companies. The proposal was stoutly opposed by all the unions and associations of BSNL and a successful one day strike was also organised against formation of the separate tower company. The arrogance of the government in this regard has to be strongly resisted.
