Anger and protest galore in the demonstrations held today, the 12th August, through out the country against the retrograde and anti-BSNL report of Deloittee Consultancy on revival ( or liquidation) of BSNL. The Forum of BSNL Unions/Associations had rightly given a call to organize Protest Demonstrations against unilateral recommendations of M/S Deloittee Consultancy to the  effect of Retrenchment of 70000 employees, Abolition of 330 SSAs with only 167 Area Offices, Centralising the SSA works to the Circle, Discontinuing  SrTOA cadre, recruitment of executives on contract basis, closure of Telecom Factories etc. 

Com. K. G. Jayaraj, General Secretary inaugurated the demonstration programme at the GMT office, Alappuzha in Kerala. There was an unprecedented participation of executives, non executives and pensioners as well and half of them were ladies, truly reflecting serious concern they have in the issue. Com. R. Balachandran Nair, District President, BSNLEU presided. Com. C. Krishnakumar, District Secretary, SNEA, Com. A. Sreevas, District Secretary, AIBSNLEA, Com. N. Mohanan Nair, District Secretary, NUBSNLW (FNTO), Com. Praveen, District Secretary, NFTE, Com.P.R.Shajimon, Circle Asst. Treasurer, BSNLEU and Com. N. Guruprasad, District Secretary, AIBDPA addressed the demonstration.
