The joint district conference of Chennai Telecom and Chennai Telephones was held on 27th May,2014. Com. T. Kothandam and Com. B. Subramaniam were in the presidium. Com. K. Arumugham, CHQ Organising Secretary as well as the District Secretary of Chennai Telephones welcomed the gathering. Com. S. Punitha Udayakumar, CHQ Vice President,BSNLEU, Com. T. Kasi, Circle Secretary, BSNL Casual Labours Union addressed the conference.

The conference adopted some important resolutions on 78.2% IDA merger, Restoration of quarterly medical allowance etc.
