Calcutta Telephones Circle Conference of AIBDPA held successfully

Calcutta Telephones Circle Conference of AIBDPA held successfully with much enthusiasm on 26th November 2012 at Howrah. The conference place was named after Comrade Sukender Pal Singh, the assassinated union leader of Ghaziabad. Com. A.K. Bhattacharjee, All India & Circle President hoisted the red flag of AIBDPA and presided over the conference. Com. K.G. Jayraj, General Secretary, inaugurated the conference with his elaborate speech. He called for strengthening the organisation and making the 2-days’ nationwide strike on 20-21 February 2013 a grand success. The conference was greeted by CITU State Committee leader Com. Nemai Samanta, Com. Saibal Sengupta (AGS & Circle Secretary of BSNLEU), Com. Tapas Banerjee (Circle Secretary of Calcutta Telephones Thika Mazdoor Union) and leaders of other sister organizations. The Open Session will be held on 27th November, which will be addressed by Com. V.A.N. Namboodiri.

Com. Supriya Mitra, Circle Secretary placed the Report on Activities and Com. P.M. Das, Treasurer placed the Audited Accounts, which had been passed by the conference unanimously after threadbare discussion by eight delegates. A strong Policy & Programme Resolution was also adopted in the conference.

The new Circle body of eighteen office-bearers has been elected unanimously from the conference. Com. A.K. Bhattacharjee, Com. Supriya Mitra and Com. P.M. Das have been re-elected as President, Circle Secretary and Treasurer respectively.
