SHRI.PRACHISH KHANNA,DIRECROR (ESTABLISHMENT),DOT HAS TOLD COM.K.G.JAYARAJ,GENERAL SECREARY,WHEN CONTACTED TODAY,THE 19TH NOVEMBER,THAT THE FILE ON 78.2% IDA FIXATION TO BSNL PENSIONERS HAS NOT BEEN RECIEVED BACK FROM THE PENSION AND PENSION WELFARE DEPARTMENT.
As per the decision of NCCPA,a state level convention of Pensioners
Organisations of Kerala was held on 16th November at Ernakulam.
The convention participated by 400 delegates representing 34 Pensioners
Organisations was inaugurated by Justice V..R.Krishna Iyer.Com..S.K.Vyas,
Secretary General,NCCPA & BCPC made the keynote address.Com.P.C.
Baburaj,working President,CGPA was in the chair.
Com.T.I.Sudhakaran,General Secretary,CGPA presented the resolution on the
important demands.Com.P.V.Chandrasekharan,All India Patron,AIBDPA
gave a detailed explanation on the demands.Com.R.Reghunathan Nair,
General Secretary,Kerala State Service Pensioners Union,Com.N.Ramesan,
Circle Secretary,AIBDPA and others spoke.
The United Forum of Pensioners Organisations was formed with
Com.R.Reghunathan Nair,Chairman and Com.T.I.Sudhakaran,Convenor.
A Special Convention of AIBDPA,Coimbatore district has been held
successfully at Divyodaya Hall,Coimbatore on today,the 16th
November,2013.
Coom.K.G.Jayaraj ,General Secretary addressed the Convention
and explained in detail the developments regarding the 78.2 per cent
IDA fixation to the pensioners and other impotant demands.
Com.M.Girija,Joint Secretary,South Zone Insurance Employees
Federation spoke on the subject,”Pension and PFRDA Act”.
Com.C.K.Narasimhan,Circle Secretary and Com.V.Vekitaraman,Circle Vice President,BSNLEU also addressed the convetion.
Com.V.Puthiavan,District President presided.
Com.L.Umapathy,District Secretary welcomed and Com.G.Bharathi,
District Treasurer proposed vote of thanks.
About 200 pensioners participated in the Special Convention.
THE RETAIL INFLATION IN OCTOBER,2013 GONE TO 10.09 PERCENT AS THE COST OF VEGETABLES AND FRUITS HAVE RAISED TO NEW HEIGHTS.
THE INFLATION AS MEASURED BY THE CONSUMER PRICE INDEX (CPI) WAS 9.84 PER CENT IN
SEPTEMBER AND 9.52 PER CENT IN AUGUST,2013.
VEGETABLE PRICES ROSE 45.57 PER CENT IN OCTOBER COMPARED WITH A 34.93 PER CENT IN
THE PREVIOS MONTH.
FRUITS WERE COSTLIER BY 12.84 PER CENT.
FOR THE CPI INFLATION,PRICE DATA ARE COLECTED FROM SELECT TOWNS BY THE NATIONAL SAMPLE SURVEY ORGANISATION AND FROM SELECT VILLAGES BY THE DEPARTMENT OF POSTS.
The petroleum ministry is sending a proposal to Union Cabinet to allow Reliance
Industries Ltd to double the price of gas from the KG D6 fields.The proposal
also contains a condition that RIL may give a bank guarantee which can be
encashed in case it is proved by experts later that the company is hoarding
gas in the block.
There is already a proposal to absolve Reliace from the serious charge of
purposely lowering the gas production since 2010-11 by getting an “expert
Committee report”stating that the lower production was due to. ecologi
cal ground.
