BSNL EMPLOYEES UNION,ALL INDIAC BSNL DOT PENSIONERS ASSOCIATION AND BSNL CASUAL CONTRACT LABOURS UNION DISTRICT UNITS OF ALAPPUZHA SUCCESSFULLY ORGANISED A JOINT AND MASSIVE CONVENTION AT BSNLEU HALL IN ALAPPUZHA ON 2ND APRIL,2014.COM.K.P.KESAVAN NAIR,DISTRICT PRESIDENT,AIBDPA AND COM.R.BALACHANDRAN NAIR,DISTRICT PRESIDENT,BSNLEU WERE IN THE PRESIDIUM.

DELIVERING THE INAUGURAL ADDRESS,COM.K.G.JAYARAJ,GENERAL SECRETARY EXPOSED THOUROUGHLY THE ANTI-PEOPLE NEOLIBERAL POLICIES BEING IMPLEMENTED BY BOTH THE CONGRESS AND BJP GOVERNMENTS IN THE COUNTRY WHICH HAVE MADE THE LIFE MOST MISERABLE FOR THE COMMON PEOPLE AND WORKERS.HE ALSO FOCUSSED THE IMPORTANCE OF THE ENSUING GENERAL ELECTIONS TO THE 16TH LOKSABHA AND APPEALED TO ELECT LEFT SECULAR AND DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATES IN THE LARGER INTEREST OF THE COUNTRY.

Com.Ajit Nandan,Circle Organising Secretary addressed and explained in detail the role of CHQ to achieve the demand of 78.2% IDA merger,organisational matters and the prevailing political situation in West Bengal and the role to be played by our members in the ensuing general election.

All the participants appreciated and congratulated the District Branch for conducting the meeting braving the threats from the goons a few weeks ago for holding meeting jointly with BSNLEU and hoisting the red flag.

THE DIRECTORATE (ESTT) DOT HAS CONFIRMED THAT THE REPLY TO THE CLARIFICATIONS SOUGHT BY THE DEPARTMENT OF EXPENDITURE ON 78.2% IDA MERGER TO BSNL PENSIONERS IS ALMOST FINALISED AND LIKELY TO BE SENT  ON MONDAY,31ST ,MARCH,2014.

West Bengal Circle has conducted a District Secretaries summit on 24-03-2014 at CTO hall,Kolkata.Com.Dipak Mitra,Circle President and Com.P.Roy,Circle Vice President jointly presided.Com.Susanta Ghosh ,Circle Secretary presented a work paper for discussion.Com.P.K.Nandi,Circle Treasurer presented the accounts.All the District Secretaries participated in the discussion that followed.

Com.Animesh Mitra,Circle Secretary,BSNLEU who is also the Deputy General Secretary spoke elaborately on the serious challenges being faced by BSNL,threats against the democratic functiong of the unions from the goons and the importance of the ensuing general elections to the 16th Loksabha.Com.Pijush Chakraborty also addressed on organisational matters.Com.Susanta Ghosh summed up the discussion.
