ONE RANK ONE PENSION-MODALITIES ARE YET TO BE APPROVED.

Implementation of One Rank One Pension under consideration

The principle of One Rank One Pension for the Armed Forces has been accepted by the Government. The modalities for implementation were discussed with various stakeholders and are presently under consideration of the Government. It will be implemented once the modalities are approved by the Government.

One Rank One Pension (OROP) implies that uniform pension be paid to the Armed Forces personnel retiring in the same rank with the same length of service irrespective of their date of retirement and any future enhancement in the rates of pension to be automatically passed on to the past pensioners. This implies bridging the gap between the rate of pension of the current pensioners and the past pensioners, and also future enhancement in the rate of pension to be automatically passed on to the past pensioners.

This information was given by Minister of State for Defence Rao Inderjit Singh in a written reply to Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar in Rajya Sabha today.

BSNL NON EXECUTIVES’ STRIKE TOTAL.

The one day strike called by the JAC of BSNL Non Executive Unions on 27th November was complete in almost all circles. So also the strike of the BSNL casual and contract workers Federation demanding settlement of their genuine issues. The striking workers conducted dharna/demonstration in front of the offices. AIBDPA also joined in solidarity.

CHQ congratulates all the comrades who have made the strike a resounding success.

BSNL STRIKE ON 27TH NOVEMBER-TALKS FAIL

The talks held with the BSNL management by the JAC leaders of BSNL Unions on 25th November yielded no result, as the management was not prepared to concede any of the 30 demands put forward for the one day strike on 27th November, 2014. The conciliation initiated by the Labour Commissioner held on today, the 26th November also failed  due to the same reason. Therefore the JAC has decided to make the one day strike a 100% strike.

The BSNL casual contract workers are also striking on the same date on their genuine demands.

AS DIRECTED EARLIER, AIBDPA UNITS ARE REQUESTED TO EXTEND ALL SUPPORT TO BOTH THE STRIKES AND ORGANISE SOLIDARITY DEMONSTRATION AT ALL PLACES.

IGNORE WITH CONTEMPT THE OUTBURSTS OF CERTAIN PEOPLE OUT OF DESPERATION AND JEALOUSY.

Some old revolutionaries, now very much in the company of very old revisionists, are allergic of agitations. They are in the fools paradise to believe that what ever is granted by the government to the pensioners is out of charity or due to the lip service of these people. The desperation and jealousy of these people are quite understandable, that these people had proposed a ‘Delhi March’ in October, 2013 on the issue of 78.2% IDA merger and shamelessly withdrew stating ‘file is moving’. Now, AIBDPA’s Sanchar Bhawan March, participated by about 1000 comrades from all parts of the country (we have not claimed any where ‘thousands of’) becoming a resounding success, these people have become in defensive, so the outbursts.

We have been demanding Rs.2500 as Fixes Medical  Allowance to DOT pensioners, among other demands, since formation of our AIBDPA ( now 2000+DA as demanded in the common memorandum to the 7th Pay Commission) and several agitations were conducted, the last being the Sanchar Bhawan March on 20th November,2014 and notice for the same was served well in advance to the authorities.

Every agitation has its effect and impact, sooner or later.
