The two days Relay Hunger Fast started yesterday before the CCA offices all over the country demanding immediate issuance of orders on 78.2% IDA merger and Restoration of Medical Allowance continued today also and concluded by 5PM. Thousands of BSNL DOT pensioners participated and showed their will power to fight against the injustice and discrimination by the authorities and the government.

The first day’s relay hunger fast was conducted before the CCA office ,Meerut in Uttar Pradesh(West) Circle. A good number of pensioners participated which started at 10AM on 21-07-2015. Com. Abdul Rasheed, Circle Secretary spoke elaborately on all the issues confronting the pensioners with particular reference to the two issues, 78.2% IDA merger and Restoration of medical allowance for which the agitation is launched.

The Relay Hunger Fast before the CCA office ,Chennai was jointly organised by Tamilnadu and Chennai Telephones Circle branches with huge participation of pensioners at 10 AM on 21-07-2015. Ghelani, Acting Circle Secretary, BSNLEU and Circle President, AIBDPA inaugurated the fast. Com M. B. Chaniyara, Circle Secreatry spoke elaborately on the issues and the efforts taken by CHQ for the settlement. The two days relay hunger fast has started at almost all the CCA offices in the country with huge participation of pensioners on today ,the 21st July, 2015 demanding immediate issuance of orders on 78.2% IDA merger to BSNL pensioners and restoration of quarterly medical allowances. The massive participation of pensioners even beyond the expectations of the organisers reflected the anger and anguish of the pensioners against the unjustified, unwanted and undue delay in settling these genuine demands.
