RESTORATION OF QUARTERLY MEDICAL ALLOWANCE- CMD,BSNL SAYS UNDER CONSIDERATION.

Com. V.A.N.Namboodiri, Advisor and Com.K.G.Jayaraj, General Secretary along with Com.P.Abhimanyu met Shri. Anupam Shrivastava on 28-12-2015 and requested early restoration of quarterly medical allowance to the BSNL pensioners. They pointed out that all the serving employees union had already given their consent for the same. The CMD stated that the issue is being considered.

The representatives invited the CMD to the 2nd triennial All India  Conference of AIBDPA being held at Tirupati on 2-3, February, 2015 and the CMD responded positively.

KERALA CIRCLE’S TOTAL CONTRIBUTION TO CHENNAI/T.NADU RELIEF FUND-Rs.27000

Com.N.Guruprasad, Circle Secretary,Kerala has reported that with the following donations, the total from KERALA Circle to the Chennai /Tamil Nadu Floods Relief Fund is Rs.27000.

1.Circle Branch      : Rs.5000

2.Thrissur Dist       : Rs.1000

3.Pathanamthitta: Rs.1000

4.Kottayam          : Rs.2500.

WFTU in Solidarity with the people of Ethiopia

The World Federation of Trade Unions extends its class solidarity to the struggles of Ethiopian working class and youth against the foreign investments and the destruction of natural environment in Ginchi, Ethiopia.

The WFTU representing 92 million workers in 126 countries condemns the actions of the Ethiopian government which cost the lives of 75 people since the middle of November; we express our condolences to the families of the victims of the police atrocities.

We call the workers of Ethiopia to continue their struggle, we strongly believe that the natural resources and the environment belong to the working class, not the national and international capitalists. We want to remind that the workers are not alone, they have on their side the workers of the world when they fight for their rights in every country of the world.

MORE THAN 100 WORKERS KILLED IN NIGERIA GAS TANKER ACCIDENT-WFTU SLAMS AGAINT LACK OF SAFETY MEASURES.

The world Federation of Trade Unions representing currently 92 million workers in 126 countries expresses its solidarity to the working class of Nigeria. A gas tanker truck ignited an inferno at a crowded industrial gas plant in Nigeria on Thursday, killing more than 100 workers and people lining up to refill their cooking gas cylinders in time for Christmas. This is not an accident, it’s a crime! The crime took place in a gas factory  of Chikason group.

We strongly believe that this could be prevented, but the safety measures, for the capitalists, are expenses and workers expendable in their “race” for more profits. We express our condolences to the families of the victims, we call the Nigerian working class to join the ranks of the class oriented trade unions and strengthen the fight for health and safety measures in the workplaces.

​As per the call of the Form of BSNL unions lunch hour demonstrations was held at Mangaluru SSA, D.K Telecom Dist, Karnatak circle. Slogans were raised demanding implementation of 78.2% IDA fixation.Com.B.P.Narayan Circle President, BSNLEU,   Com D.Gopal Naik Dist Secretary AIBDPA, Com.Pasha Dist Secretary, BSNLEU. Com Nambiyar,and Com Harischandra Rao addressed the  gathering Com B.Narayan Rao Advisor AIBDPA, Com Shridhar treasurer, AIBDPA  Com B Krishna, Com Thimmappa and other leaders were present.

COM.A.C.SHAH, VETERAN LEADER PASSES AWAY.

WITH PROFOUND GRIEF WE REPORT THE SAD DEMISE OF COM.A.C.SHAH, CIRCLE PATRON,AIBDPA, GUJARAT ON 24-12-2015. HE WAS AILING FOR SOME TIME AND THE END CAME AT AN HOSPITAL IN INDORE. HE HAD ATTENDED THE LAST CEC MEETING OF AIBDPA HELD AT JAMNAGAR ON 28-29, APRIL,2015 AND THIS PHOTO WAS TAKEN ON THAT OCCASION.

COM.A.C.SHAH HAS SERVED THE TELECOM MOVEMENT IN MANY CAPACITIES. HE WAS THE CIRCLE SECRETARY, AITEU CL III (N) ,GUJARAT FOR A LONG TIME AND LATER CIRCLE SECRETARY, BSNLEU.

ASSAM.

Com.S.N.Sarma , Circle Secretary has reported that the black badge demonstration on 22-12-2015 against undue delay on 78.2% IDA merger, called by the Forum of BSNL Unions/Associations was a big success in all the districts in Assam. In Guwahati more than 300 comrades participated and was addressed by leaders of all the unions.

HARYANA.

Com.H.K.Sharma , Circle Secretary reported that the demonstration was held in all SSAs in Haryana with good participation.

BILASPUR DISTRICT CONFERENCE HELD SUCCESSFULLY.

The first biennial District Conference of Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh was held successfully at Bhoramdeo Complex, Pandariya  on 18-12-2015. Office bearers were elected unanimously with the following important functionaries.
