78.2% IDA MERGER- FRUSTRATION GALORES WITH THE OLD REVOLUTIONARY.

Our sincere and continuous efforts to settle the issue of 78.2% IDA merger by meeting the hon’ble Minister for Communications & IT, Secretary, DoT and other top officers regularly and also launching of countrywide Dharna on 10-03-2016 have frustrated one of the old revolutionaries. In a panic mindset he has commented on our meeting with Minister, as if he has overheard everything behind the door. Of course, this is how he gives running commentary on movement of files. His capability to give running commentary without seeing the match is already proved beyond any doubt.

Anybody can see the letter to the hon’ble Minister (published in our website) handed over to him personally based on which the discussion took place. Com.V.A.N.Namboodiri may be a poor negotiator for the old revolutionaries. But the BSNL employees and pensioners are fully aware of it better based on the two pay revisions achieved in BSNL and many other benefits which the critics also avail.

We have met only the concerned minister; not the minister for Fertilizers & Chemicals. We have not gone to the great national president of the ruling party. We also did not felicitate  the minister of old UPA government from Pondicherry for ‘almost’ settling the 78.2% two years back. We have not joined the reactionaries for opportunistic trade unionism. We inherit the  tradition of the great P&T Trade Union movement in the country. We have not changed a bit from our vision and perspective. We still stand committed to the workers and the pensioners as well.
