With profound grief we report the passing away of Com.Fidel Castro, the great revolutionary leader of the century and former President of Cuba, at Havana on 26-11-2016. He was 90 and was not in good health for the last 10 years. It was Coms. Fidel Castro and Che guevara who led the revolution to liberate Cuba from the anarchist and oppressive Batista regime in 1959. He successfully transformed Cuba to a Socialist country uplifting the common people to decent living conditions during his tenure stretched about half a century. He boldly resisted the sanctions imposed by the US imperialism and withstood many attempts on his life by the CIA. Com.Fidel Castro was a source of inspiration for many progressive countries in the world in general and Latin American countries in particular. The passing away of this great revolutionary leader is a great loss to all the progressive and socialist people of the world.

AIBDPA dips its banner and pays respectful homage to Com.Fidel Castro.

RED SALUTE TO COM.FIDEL CASTRO.

2071 corporates owe Rs. 3.89 lakh crore to Banks! – Minister

It was disclosed in the Parliament on 22nd November 2016 by Minister of State for Finance Santhosh Kumar Gangwar that 2,071 industrialists owned Rs.3.89 lakh to various banks in the country.
What action is being taken to recover the amount is not known. According to the Minister the  concerned banks have to take action.
In fact, a nexus of the corporates, top management of the banks, political leaders of ruling parties and government  can not be dismissed.

The banks and government have to take strict and swift action to recover the money from the corporates.

L & T Retrenches 14,000 employees.

In an unprecedented move, Larsen and Toubro, one of the largest Engineering Company in India has retrenched 14,000 employees, more than 11% of its total workforce, in a move to “right size” the number of employees, according to the management. The reason mentioned for the retrenchment is stated due to business slow down.
This is the reason the corporates always say in time of retrenchment.

The employees work hard and the company gets good profit. But the management has no qualms to retrench them on flimsy grounds.  We hope the L and T Unions will fight out for their reinstatement.
