Com. V. A. N. Namboodiri, Advisor and Com. K. G. Jayaraj, General Secretary have met Ms. Sujata Ray, Director (HR), BSNL today,the 30-06-2016, and discussed the issues contained in the Charter of Demands formulated by the Tirupati AIC which could be settled at BSNL level. The representatives focused the following four issues.

1. Restoration of quarterly medical allowance to the BSNL pensioners.

2. Reducing of rent for the quarters allotted to the retirees.

3. Extension of broadband concession to DoT pensioners.

4. Anomaly in pension due to point to point fixation; seniors drawing less than juniors.

Regarding the restoration of quarterly medical allowance, the Director stated that it is under serious consideration.

As for the other issues she assured to have a detailed discussion on 4th July, as she has to attend the management committee meeting today.
